Am I the only one getting spawn killed in some maps for SWAT?
thats what happens in swat. The maps suck so itll probably happen more often in this game

Yeah, I hate to admit it but spawn killing in SWAT is extremely annoying. The maps are pretty small, which doesn’t help either. K/D has went to crap in the playlist due in part from the spawn killing.
SWAT has a lot of problems. Spawning is the main problem. I literally played a match where after my first spawn, every spawn lasted on average maybe a second before my death. The whole game took about 4 minutes. Of course, the maps are terrible as well. Regret is a worse map than Jar Jar is a character. Honestly. And swatnums is plagued by trading, holy -Yoink- the trading. If 50% of the kills in a swatnum match aren’t trades, it’s christmas. I’ve had times where I killed someone before they even started the shoulder bash, and their dead body does it, nails me, and I die about 2 full seconds after they did. Worse with pistol duels. Constantly dying at the “same time”, in reality there’s an incredibly noticeable amount of time between our deaths. It’s so disappointing.
I think the spawn killing is not as a result of the map itself but where the spawns were placed when the game was created. I have also determined that getting a positive K/D spread in the SWAT category is damn near impossible.
It annoys me alot. Everytime i get killed. I respawn and i get killed again

Because you can kill people so damn quick in Swat, if a team knows how to control a map then the other team is screwed. At that point it’s time to hold the left trigger forward while spamming sprint as you spawn to get out of there! 
The maps are extremely small and when 8 players are crammed into them it makes safe spawning pretty difficult. Not as much in slayer and team arena (still a problem though) but exceptionally noticeable in swat and ffa.
my buddy’s and I got a game of 3v3 swatnum ctf going and after playing half a dozen rounds on different maps I can to the conclusion that 4v4 would be too much for that game. Basically I believe that most of the maps are almost too small for 8 players especially in ffa and swat.
BTW 3v3 swatnum ctf is loads of fun!
Because of the miro sized maps there’s not much that can be done to stop you from spawning in an area close to an opponent. And since it takes a couple of seconds for the animation to sync with your spawn, anyone near by already has the drop on you.
I Like swat the best of all the game modes. But spawning in to instant death and latency allowing people to kill you seconds before showing in the screen is killing the fun factor.
Having a team who communicates and works together to control the map is what SWAT has always been about. The size of the maps we have now probably make it nigh impossible to prevent you from spawning in somebody’s line of sight if they’re controlling the map as well as they should be.

My swat not impossible. But it is aggrovating.
Yeah it is frustrating. Hopefully they tweak it so it isn’t so bad in the future.

Swatnums on Regret is the bane of my existence! I -Yoinking!- hate that map for swat. It’s impossible to not get spawn killed. I’m lucky to get 3 steps before I get smoked.
As for the maps being too small I think that Pegasus and Orion are ok maps size wize but the sight lines are huge you can get cross map headshots from damn near anywhere. I like The Rig but only half the map is used no one is dumb enough to run the full catwalk. But I really do hate the giant -Yoinking!- hole in the center. I cant count the times I’ve boosted out of fire into that damn hole.
Plaza is the same way everyone runs through the back hallway by the planter and the rest of the map is only used to spawn at.
Yeah fair enough. Needed some practice and patience. Enjoying it now. Need to count to 10 some now and then.

I’m having this issue and believe me it’s irritating. Went 12 - 1 at the start but then magically started spawning me In Front of enemies who just go ‘pop’ and I’m dead… In the end that happened 10 times during that game. My final score was 15 - 15. can’t be anymore -Yoinking!- irritating…

One possible “fix” for this is:
Being invincible for 2 seconds after you spawn, which should give you time to thrust or sprint to cover.
