After watch the Spartan Locke Armor set trailer for the 100th time, I was wounding just how fast can Chief and Blue go with Thrusters boosting them? Chief was able to go 65mph in Mark 5(I think he’s faster in Mark 6). So, if he can run at tops 65mph without thrusters then do they double his speed like a ghost’s thrusters?
Chief can’t run 65 mph. Kelly is the fastest human alive, being able to sprint at 38 mph. For obvious reasons, Spartans will never move as quickly in the games as they do in the lore.

John has the fastest recorded time.
Chief was only able to go over 60 mph when pushing himself to his absolute max. The average Spartan speed is a little over 30 mph in the MJOLNIR GEN1 systems. MJOLNIR GEN2 doesn’t seem to improve the speed by much, as Kelly, the fastest Spartan by a significant margin, is able to run just a little over 40 mph in it. So I’d guess that John could run somewhere between 36-38 mph.

It doesn’t really help if you can only do it once and be completely exhausted though. He can’t consistently run at speeds as high as Kelly can.

That’s out of armor. In Halo Fall of Reach Chief ran 65mph in Mark 5.
I can get the quote if you want it. However no ones answering my question. How fast is Chief and Blue team now that they have the Thruster Pack to boost them while sprinting?

65 mph was his absolute peak. He tore his muscles while running that fast. The normal Spartan speed at the time was a little over 30 mph.

And in Halo Glassland Fred was easily going 60mph… Also his tendons tore because of a blast that made a 3 meter crater less than a foot away from him.

I remember, but where does it say he ran 60 mph?
And Chief’s tendon was torn because of the strain put on his body for running that fast

Mendez was reflecting on how amazed he was of the Spartan 2s while watching Fred go from 0-60mph while scouting. I can get the quote if you want but it will take some time.

I know its canon, but Glasslands isn’t the most reliable book to go by. It has quite a few inconsistencies.

Like Halsey surviving a punch that should have killed her.

His average speed over the course of the half mile run was 65mph, considering the distance and the fact he tore his achilles half way through his top speed was probably closer to 80mph.
Also someone on another website did a frame by frame analysis of the Locke ad and had him going at 208mph

I have a Quote from Palace Hotel in Halo Evolutions
“he concrete beneath the Spartan had turned to dust and gravel as he launched forward. Barely a half second had passed and he was already 10 meters away…[Palmer] looked up from her boots and saw that his hands were no longer empty-his right hand now held a massive hard-chromed M6D, and a spare magazine was in his left. 8 thunderclaps rang out so fast that they bled together into a single long roar…With one hand at thirty meters and a dead run, two shots apiece, each a hit to the head or neck, what the holy hell are my men even aiming at back there”
roughly 20 m/s (roughly 45 mph) so 65mph isn’t hard to believe being his fastest.

Get the quote, but are you sure it’s not… kilometers…? Just checked. Indeed it’s nearly 60 KPH. Not Miles… Kilometers… People…

It actually was… but the Palace hotel quote shows him going about 45mph.
Remember they are even faster in armor
206 MPH
So why can’t we go above a 7.5mph jog in Halo 1, 2 and 3? And a 12mph sprint in Halo 4?

> So why can’t we go above a 7.5mph jog in Halo 1, 2 and 3? And a 12mph sprint in Halo 4?
Because Gameplay…
If we wanted the game to play realistically to the canon(now at least) all human weapons besides Sniper, Rocket Launcher, Laser, rail gun, and saw would be worthless again spartan, Most Plasma and Forerunner weapons would work about the same, Spartans would be moving around at 50mph for their normal jogging and near 200mph for sprinting, Spartan Charge would flip anything under a Tank end over end or even blow them up, and Groundpound would 1 shot all vehicles beside tanks.
