Spartans original size and speed

Return the spartans back to their original size and speed halo 4 and 5 they felt big and clunky

I thought the spartans size was fine. Their armor is terrible tho. And if you are talking about big and clunky i would think of the elites. H4 and h5 have the most terrible face and body design of all halo’s combined.

Not every armor can be bad!

For me, the Bungie-era Spartans alwaays looked slow and cumbersome with their armor, to me. The joints always looked stiff, thick, bulky and didn’t allow for full range of motion. The Reach armor variants did do a good job at removing some of the snag areas on the armor, and give a level of modularity to the armor’s look as well. Noble 6’s Mk Vb variant was a cool, stealth style armor variant.

The 343i-era Spartans however, look more flexible and agile, with the Tech Suit/undersuit being more prominently displayed. Although I do see your point, the metal armor sections on most of the GEN2 armor the S-IV’s use, are definitely more chunky and thicker looking. Looking at the Recruit variant shown in Spartan Ops, made Thorne look like a Power Ranger Mega-Zord without a helmet. So yeah, definitely more chunky and bulky, but not in a good way.

Certain armors like the Hunter, Copperhead, Nightfall, Soldier, just to name a few, we’re more streamlined and sleek. Looking far more functional than its other GEN 2 counter parts.

The Mk VI in the H2A multiplayer was the best depiction of the armor, as it blended the best of the newer, and older asthetics. It was bulky, yet streamlined at the same time. The space diaper was somewhat integrated into the Techsuit, but still allowed for the contrast between the undersuit, and the metal armor matrices. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

Chief’s GEN3 Mk VI looks like a return to the original, but it doesn’t look like the metallic armor portions inhibit flexibility as much as the GEN 1 variants. The under suit is less prominent as well, but does feature more bulk in its design. The new Mk VII is ALOT more sleek and streamlined, looking alot more agile than the Chief’s armor. So I do like that. My biggest “compliant” with the GEN 3 is the dreaded space diaper. Reach did it best, with its, still weird, cod-piece but didn’t feature the armored bikini bottom look, thats just absolutely dreadful.
My take is that the Chief’s notorious look is a welcome return to visual form. But i do want to see some of the cooler, sleeker GEN 2 variants available in Multiplayer, especially my favorite GEN2 Hunter variant!

That’s all for now.

Honestly, the new art style of 4 and 5 are awful, the elites especially, they made them so god-awful ugly, the original elites looked sleek and mobile, they looked like they carried themselves with pride, while the halo 5 elites look clunky and slow, they also talk like they developed language 10 days ago. All the nobility is gone, they’re just so ugly

I liked the helioskrill helmet. And a few from the characters of the campaign. Helmets were mostly ugly but recognizable. The armor’s however were plain boring and forgettable.

Excluding Wrath, Venator, Juns armor, Gen1 Arcadia, and Nightfall.

As for the helmets, Wetwork Cleaners is freaking awesome, FOTUS is awesome yet dumb as well, Wrath anhur is good, Helljumper is really cool, and Cyclops makes me puke to think about it.
