So I haven’t really been keeping up with Halo because quit playing it and what-not, but I’m still fairly interested in the story.
Bored, I thought I’d check out what’s been going here on lately, and I see episode 9 is out, meaning Spartan Ops Season 1 is almost finished?
I’m just wondering if someone could give me a quick summary of what’s happened in Spartan Ops.

You find some artifact, dr. Halsey investigates it, commander palmer gets more annoying every week, you keep pushing buttons, turns out that artifact is some slipspace portal or something, and theres not really much of anything going on.

Basically, you find an artifact that teleports Dr. Glassman to Jul Mdama, leader of the Covenant who wants a human to open up some sort of machine that the Librarian AI resides in. After a long time of trying to rescue the doctor and stop Jul, we finally do and successfully get Glassman away while also preventing Jul from finding the Librarian in the machine. Then the Prometheans invade the Infinity and Dr. Halsey is captured and brought to Jul. This time she does open it and runs into the machine, has a conversation with the Librarian who gives her a two part key to all Forerunner tech in the Galaxy. When she leaves, Jul grabs one of the parts to the key, and Halsey throws the other to Spartan Thorne who was there to rescue her with Majestic Squad. This entire time, Palmer was there trying to kill Halsey because ONI thinks she is a traitor. Right now it ended with Jul taking Halsey hostage and getting away. Oh and the artifact is holding the Infinity in place somehow through slipspace technology so we have to get it free.
