I just think they look a bit top-heavy, the graphics are amazing doing get me wrong, but they have just don’t have the shape of a natural human, let alone a spartan. They body are nice a streamlined but the chest it just to large, this isn’t gears of war also they have tons of armor “Floating” of them, I really hope that a placeholder. I don’t mind the look of the shoulder peices ot the armor itself but in need to be intergrated into the armor rather it just being stuck it the top, it look very very tacky. The shape of the spartan is completely top heavy the frame looks more suited to an elite in my opinion.
Please don’t flame, I think they look great but the way the armor “floats” of the like in reach just looks stupid, please have the armor intergated more in the suit rather it being stuck on and looking like a transformer rather than a spartan/Master cheif.
I don’t mind the new look it looks fine to in my opinion, but I will agree with you the floating armor thing did get a bit annoying in Reach I hope they fix that in 4.
I really don’t get your reason as to why their armor is “floaty.” Personally I like the way the Spartan IVs look but I know that I will be changing the overall armor on mine when the game comes out
I don’t see what’s wrong with them, maybe it’s because the thrusters look too big. If there’s anything to complain about due to appearance I think it would be the way the Grunts and Elites look. So much for being advanced and honorable, they now look like savages.
I own some of these “top heavy” transformers that you speak of (Side burn from the Robots in Disguise series is a good example, though I have close to 300+ other transformer toys), and these spartans, while they may have a bit more of a robotic feel, are not robot enough to be transformers.
…and if they were, I’d hate to see what they turn into, because the few transformers that have had similar designs to the halo 4 spartans turned out to have lazy (or lousy, take your pick) transformations.
Now if you wanted to compare them to G.I. Joe, especially the sigma 6 series they had a few years ago, then yeah…people in high-tech armor…really similar.
Im pretty sure thats just the jet pack that you have when you have a loadout with jetpack equipped. From other vids/ pics if you look you dont see the huge bulge (jet pack) on the back.
