Spartans arn't legends anymore.

since Spartans IV’s appeared in halo 4, this makes master chief not a legendary spartan.

Spartan IVs can’t even be compared to Chief. Remember playing the campaign? They still felt like useless, ordinary marines. Spartan IIs could wipe the floor with an IV

Like with how useful Jorge was as an AI right? Using allied AI’s as a measure for canonical effectiveness is stupid.

How so? If you watch the end of the game, clearly the new Spartans don’t “measure up”.

he’s like a freaking giant.

Really now? Because I’m pretty sure the he still did save the human race multiple times and stopped an extragalactic parasite on more than one occasion. No he’s still got his legendary status, he’s just “the last living Spartan” anymore.

What?

The Spartan IVs are still just marines with better training, minor augmentations(?), and MJOLNIR armor. They aren’t as perfect of a soldier as the S-IIs or even S-IIIs were. Who knows how many old Spartans were even absorbed into the new program.

almost sounds like Spartan IV’s are not real Spartans at all.

Right, so all the stuff Chief did in Halo 1-3 suddenly doesn’t count because there’s new Spartans.

Tell me, what galactic threat has Thorne stopped practically single-handed? Did Palmer ever fight her way through multiple platoons of Covenant on foot to kill a High Prophet, which is basically the equivalent to killing the Pope and all of his best guards? Did What’s-His-Face Team Majestic Leader ever fall from orbit and live to tell about it? Can any of the Spartan IVs ever hope to match the Chief’s accomplishments?

Do they even lift?

Spartan-IVs would have to receive the same augmentations that previous Spartan classes received.

Sarah palmer is 6’9", her augmentations are likley similar to the Spartan 2’s, and 3’s. I am not arguing that these Spartans are are hardcore as the older breeds I am just saying that using the AI as a representation of their effectiveness is silly.

I am kind of with the OP here actually, I reviewed Halo 4, and one of the things I mentioned about the current state of the universe that I was not a fan of was all the new Spartans.

Did you see how much taller Chief was than the Spartan IV’s? And it’s not even like he was the ultra Spartan II, there were others that were bigger, stronger, faster, or more skilled than him.

No, Chief is still a legend. I’d like to see a Spartan IV drive a covenant bomb right back to their own super carrier.

He is about the same height as them, Palmer (A female) is 6’9" Chief is 6’10".

Palmer is 6’9" in armor. Chief is 7’2" in armor (6’8" without).

You get all the internets, sir.

Made my night.

Nope, Palmer is 6’9" and 24lbs without her armour. Chief is 6’10" 285lbs without his, Jorge is 7’2" 320lbs without his, this is how they measure their heights in their profiles.

Chief is more than 6’10", he’s like 7’3" or something like that (in his armour), simply looking at them standing next to each other in the campaign proves he’s more than an inch taller.

Anyways, as it stands the Spartan II’s are still the best Spartans.

Where does it say without here armor? She is very clearly shorter than the master Chief. As such, it can only be reasoned the height we’ve been given is for Palmer in armor.
