Okay, I’m not going to go in depth with my opinion regarding the H5G gameplay. As just about every other topic on this forum has demonstrated, I’ll either be pegged as a faithless hater or an obstinately blind conformist. Let’s just say that I’m getting a really mixed vibe.

But can we all agree that 343i needs to drop this cliché, modern-military, “tango down” crap (or at least make it a customizable default) and give us some voice customization options a la Reach Firefight? Give this game a little spirit and Bungie-esque humor? I feel like such subtle touches contribute quite a bit to the lasting charm and longevity of a game, and charm is just what Halo 4 lacked.

We are in agreement. I like the realism it adds but the things they were saying sounded too generic and boring. The Firefight voices in Reach had some pretty funny things that would pop up from time to time and it made it rewarding to try them all, even Kat’s! Kind of like IWHBYD. They also gave your Spartan a lot more character rather than just sounding like a nameless and mute war machine.
