Hmm, I think we could use an in-between option in the poll, which is where Thorne is in my opinion. Not John obviously, but not a peon either. He’s obviously got some mental scars prior to becoming a Spartan, so he is definitely well-intentioned and carrying a degree of espirit de corps about him.
He certainly didn’t hesitate in dealing with the elites or saving Glassman’s butt rather effectively.

he doesnt even have the discipline of a recruit out of boot but hes supposed to be a spartan?

While at first I thought he was a wimpy Spartan, Episode 6 did well in changing my mind. He put up a pretty impressive looking fight at the start of the episode, which reminded me a bit of Noble 6’s demise in Halo: Reach. Considering Noble 6 is of hyper lethal status, I gotta give Thorne the “Sort of…” rating as he has shown me some -Yoink- kicking, but he can’t quite be considered a full fledged bad -Yoink- without more kicking of the -Yoink-.
