Spartan Strike on Windows 10 Issues

I recently purchased Spartan Strike for my laptop. I have come across some issues.

  1. The only control option in touch. I was first confused as to why I couldn’t control the application using keyboard and mouse. This is not game breaking, but it would be convenient to have KB&M control.

  2. I have encountered crashes after completing mission A-2, A-3, A-4, and A-6. Upon completing mission A-2, the game froze at the score screen and crashed a moment later. When I launched the game again my score had been saved. However, upon completing A-3, the game crashed a moment before sending me to the score screen and I lost my score data and Assault Ops data. At the end of A-4 and A-6 the game crashed a moment before sending me to the score screen, and I lost my Assault Ops data associated with those missions. SOLUTION: I simply replayed each of the missions that crashed to attain completion of each, and had to complete the Assault Ops objectives again.

  3. Achievements do not “pop” as they do in Spartan Assault. There is no notification of completing the achievements, I had to check in the menus and on my console companion app. The achievements page on the console companion does not update the progress bar for locked achievements either.

I’m currently playing through Spartan Strike myself via Game Pass and I can confirm the crashing issues. I’m not too mad about it though as it still saves the progress and the game itself is pretty short.

Keyboard/Mouse works fine for me, but then again I’m playing this on a desktop PC and don’t have a touchscreen.

Achievements unlock fine for me as well and they get added to my Xbox account just like the Spartan Assault ones.

Crashes as well for me.

I bought the game for both my girlfriend and myself and it crashes after every mission played on both of our laptops. Sometimes it crashes so that the data is saved, but other times it crashes and all progress for that mission is lost. I understand that it is a busy time for the development of Halo games at the moment, but having to restart the game after every mission and possibly losing all the progress made in that mission is very frustrating.

I can relate! I managed to finish everything eventually, it can be done!

I am playing on a surface and it is touch and I have never been able to get out of the drop pod on a1 help

Are you able to Bluetooth connect an Xbox One controller?

You can connect the controllers that came out in and after 2016 using bluetooth to a PC.

I can’t use KB+M either, it’s very furstrating. I can use an XB1 controller, but I really don’t find it enjoyable to play that way.

To be specific, the KBM shows up as my input method, and all the shooting control work, but I can’t move.

I can’t sign in my profile - so it’s not tracking anything at all.

Only option I have is to play not signed in. Always getting an error message when I try to sign in.

I had this problem for six years now, I do not think there is a solution.
