We will never have halo 5 female spartans again and it saddens me ![]()
While I agree more choice would be nice, @KCD0DGER here wants it to not be gendered (even with names, as they could lead to someone thinking itâs "only for girls/boys). I think a good middle ground would be something like: Heavy, large: for John; Heavy, medium: for Emile; Heavy, light: for Spartan IV. It would also dissasociate us using the exact same build as a âcoolerâ spartan.
The biggest problem with the body types is that the armor isnt affected, meaning on the smaller frame, the armor looks a little too big for the spartans body, when the armor should be a perfect fit for the spartans frame. Its mostly noticeable on the thighs, torso, and slightly on the belt (or space diaper whatever you wanna call it).
So if the body types also changed armor size or fitting, than it would make it look actually distinguishable from one another. Just look at Halo Reach, female spartans had a smaller frame and the armor fitted them differently compared to male spartans.
So middle ground for Males but no choice for the Females, Iâd rather OPâs idea itâs a middle ground for both
I do, just, not you.
Definitely do not want it named yeah, that really vexes nonbinary folks or people who donât want to be gendered at all.
I donât want what we have changed. Iâd be fine if things were added. Thatâs absolutely fine. Though I definitely donât want armor shapes to change. Weâd just have hitbox arguments constantly and, really your spartanâs gender should be obvious to you, and matter to you, but nobody else.
Because for whatever reason, we still canât get different bodies in Halo 3, despite everything else weâve gotten⊠And nobody talks about that.
Remove one word from this quote and youâd be cancelled on Twitter immediately
Now think about why someone would feel their Spartan doesnât represent them, in body shape, size, armor colors, and customization options in general.
343 paraquote: âWe designed Halo Infinite to allow players to create their dream Spartans, with customization options they never had in previous games, so that it perfectly represents themâ or however that quote went in their old interviews before the game came out.
If the concern is Ranked balance, you could easily disable all customization completely, and force players to all wear the same armor and coatings, just like HCS has to all wear default Mark VII helmet armor with their custom esport logo coating. Make everyone exactly the same in Ranked, but in Unranked, I want to see a Spartan the size of Jorge clashing swords with an Elite, or a dad playing Halo with his kids that are slightly shorter than him.
Itâs unranked. Itâs social. Itâs casual.
Make Halo about having fun again.
Leave the balance obsession nonsense in Ranked.
Enable grenade and hammer jumping in unranked.
Let the clone troopers play BR slayer in Ranked, but let Halo be Halo again for everyone else. Let people play as a Grunt for all I care. If this could be the last Halo game, let it be the best Halo game, with the most options, and the most fun. Donât let it die a shell of what Halo could have been, for the sake of balance obsession.
I really hope we can play as SOS grunts
As a twitter user, probably not.
Haloâs⊠Never really had what youâre talking about, though. It also definitely wonât be the last Halo game.
I donât think thatâs even a remote possibility.
So we meet again
On the topic of Halo 3, I suspect its probably because no one expects it with Halo 3 since at that point its not necessary, its an old game, admittedly that doesnât stop them from adding new/halo online stuff nonetheless.
lol, hey. It be like that.
Iâd definitely like at least a narrower waist in Halo 3. Not that my waist narrow, no, my hips widened, but hey, you take what you can get.
and at the time of the gameâs release such a thing wasnât priority, so I suspect that due to that no one expects it.
I would absolutely love it if they added more size options. For people worried about balance, they an just lock the height of spartans for ranked. As long as the heights on everyone is the same, their head and body hitboxes will be in the same spots.
At the moment the main complaint is actually something I havenât seen many people mention- the thickness of limbs not scaling with the waist size. I actually donât mind the torso, pelvis, and thigh armor staying the same size when you change the waist size. The problem is having a thin waist but your arms and calves still being as thick and chunky as when you have a large waist. My solution has been to just use the prosthetic limb option for these areas so they look more thin, but I would much prefer if I could just choose thinner non-prosthetic limbs.
To be honest, thatâs not something Iâm going to mourn. These are genetically augmented super soldiers, not strippers.
I mean in the context of them choosing their body types.
I care not about anything else atm.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the Spartan-II lore or the game coming out in 2007⊠nah, impossible.
