I know almost everyone will agree that they would like more body options than just 10lbs more or less around the waist, but whether it’s an argument about hitbox or gender identity, these topics almost never last a full day before getting locked.
Sadly, the days of shorter Spartans and tall Elites died with Bungie in Halo Reach, back when games were made for fun, instead of Ranked competitive balance/Halo fun sterilization.
Trust me, most of us don’t want Halo Infinite to be the way it is
Before 343 says it’s impossible, I’ve already seen many videos of bugged Spartans being tiny, gigantic, or Funko Pop proportions. The armor all stretches to fit. They could make us resizable if they wanted to. I’ve even seen mini and giant vehicles we could drive. 343 doesn’t like fun.
As long as the physiology doesn’t inherently make the Spartan hitbox bigger or smaller, it’s fine by me. At the end of the day, the armor, helmet, needs to be in the right place, to make sure there are not major advantages or disadvantages to such a cosmetic option.
Nobody is saying you need to change yours. People just want more diversity in body types, that doesn’t mean we need to get rid of what’s there already, just add to it.
I understand the desire for more variance in player appearances, but the change in hitbox sizes (such as with Jorge style body variants) would go against the balance of the game.
I’d love a couple more types to add some extra variety and customization. Nothing wrong with more choices just to have more choices, despite what some seem to believe (outside of significant mesh changes that could cause hitbox issues in competitive).
Like with how they listed the body types with numbers they could add more options heck a lot of us want to be the massive unit that jorge was and got excited at the possibility wuth how the kit system said we could play as the actual characters(which is false as jorge isn’t his correct size) heck all they have to do is put a lock on certain body types if it causes issues in the comp scene like how elites were in a lot of game modes in reach matchmaking
