My Spartans rank and armor on Halo Reach was recently reset and I had 400k credits in total on my rank
I’m guessing that this is the first time you have taken your Reach profile online / connected it to Xbox Live? If so then that’s why you’ll have reset. To prevent players from boosting accounts offline and taking them online, Bungie implemented measures that only let you go online with a small amount of credits to start off. There’s no way to get those back while playing online I’m afraid, need to start that grind again
