I know their basic function, but have 343i explained them in detail, like how they are obtained (I’m guessing through leveling up) and what the quantitiy is each time you get them?
I’d guess you’d earn one for every level you progress, I saw some leaked pictures a while back that showed some of the support packages costing 2-3 SP, so one for every level sounds about right.

Anyways, I believe SP will be unlocked via either:
-rank ups (perhaps by max rank, all SPs needed to 100% the armory are unlocked)
-certain number of XP (the new “Credits”)
-MAYBE completing a specialization

My apologies. I actually noticed that RIGHT after I posted this topic. I didn’t refresh the page before posting.
you earn Spartan Points by ranking up. You spend these Spartan Points on weapons, AA’s, packages, etc… You do not buy Armor with it as you get Armor automatically when you rank up.
Example:
Ranked up to Sergeant
Got 2 Spartan Points
Unlocked ODST Armor
Thruster Pack costs 4 Spartan Points, but Carbine costs 3 Spartan Points, and you saved 1 Spartan Point from last rank up, so you then bought Carbine.
