Just finished all 50 chapters on Legendary and my goodness that was the most unenjoyable Halo experience I ever had. So glad they didn’t do a season 2.

I’m achievement hunting at the moment and am really putting off doing these missions.
I have actually done this 4 times and the first time was definitely the most unenjoyable playthrough and this was mainly due to a large number of stupid mistakes. For every consecutive playthrough, I have been better prepared for the missions which has in turn greatly reduced the number of stupid mistakes and has also made the missions a lot more enjoyable to play.
I recently finished it on easy.

I’m glad you found enjoyment out of it. I just can’t stand Palmer, Roland’s stupid jokes and the same repetitive crap over and over and over again. Like s***
Having beaten them all on Halo MCC I can vouch for him and agree with this statement.

…I’m starting it. Man its so brutal and I am not looking for it. Every time they say more enemies coming I seriously can’t take it. Its not scaled by the number of players just the fact that its ment for 4 people.
The first 5 episode were pretty boring and slog to get through, but it does really pick up for the second 5 where they tried out some new maps and ideas.

And even then it’s becomes fun for only half a level. Wasn’t hard, wasn’t fun. I hated hearing Palmers voice saying crimson this and crimson that. then the Roland joke and Roland shut up lines. So awful.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I think the second half is a godsend compared to the first, but the second half’s still such an almighty slog that I’d rather gouge out my eyes that hear ‘Spartan’ Miller tell me there’s only a few more enemies left guys. No chance in hell am I ever playing that again.

I actually wish they did a season 2. I feel like im one of the few people that liked where the story was going. It’s shame that they “ended” spartan ops’ story in the beginning of halo 5.

What are you talking about?
Gosh I am still disappointed by the flop that spartan ops was, it really held so much potential and come up short do to misplaced priorities of investment, bad mechanics and terrible replayability.
Still it was a novel concept and I am cautious of attacking it too much because it was actually a risk and innovation that I think 343 was right to make and held a lot of functional utility for extending stories beyond release. Still they could have handled its conclusions better and not just made it completely irrelevant with the story of H5 but that’s a whole other can of worms to open.
