Well we got firefight! Thank god! (I’m just getting back into 5 so it’s fairly new to me.) Anyway back to topic. Do you think 343 may release season 2 of Spartan ops in Halo 5? I know Infinite is in development, and I as much as you want them to dedicate all the focus they can muster into it. Although I do miss spartan ops, I know most of you guys didnt. Which I respect and understand, but there was a niche part of the community myself included that enjoyed it well enough. I want Infinite to be infinitely better than 5 was, and that means alot more devs working on Infinite. So if they did add spartan ops it would probably be much like 4s spartan ops was. Using already in game assets. Which probably wouldn’t please those that already didn’t care for spartan ops, but would make that niche part of the community, and potentially newer players to the franchise pretty happy. As well as being a nice little send off for 5. All in all I doubt it will be added, and am currently enjoying firefight and custom games. I’m more or less just curious what you guys think of the idea. Would you like to see season 2 of Spartan ops, or a variation of it either in 5 or future installments? Do you think it would be a good send off for 5? Would you play it if they released it?

I thoroughly enjoyed Spartan Ops but I don’t hold much hope for a season 2.
I can’t see anything more being added to Halo 5 at this point and just as (probably more) unlikely is them adding it to Infinite. I wouldn’t want it added to Infinite anyway.
Maybe at some point we may see a season 2 but not for a fair while I doubt.

Oh wow, and that was recent too, I’ll have to keep a better look out. I liked the story, but maybe it wasn’t right for the series. Also, I must have been confused. I thought this thread was about the possibility of Season 2 in Halo: Infinite. It definitely makes sense that no substantial content additions would be made this long after H5’s release.
It’s been a few years now since I left the Halo scene, but all I can remember from SO in Halo 4 was
1: Whole lotta desert scenery
2: The Covenant getting into some -Yoink!- with Ops protag in a Forerunner base
3: Halsey getting an arm cut off
4: Running Legendary solo was still a slog
5: Requiem blew up like a piñata strapped with tannerite
Time to relive those moments with MCC, eh?

Halo 5 has no more scheduled updates chief so veryyyyyy unlikely

Haha yes, I’m currently going through MCC on legendary, and am looking forward to Spartan ops. Probably on Heroic though considering as I remember correctly it was designed for 4 Spartans, and I like to lone wolf it. With my little Spartan role play I have in my head :^p

In that case yes, I would be happy to have another season in the next (or another) game. No telling what it would be about though, since Season 1 was continued at the beginning of H5. I would also settle for ODST/Reach firefight gametypes in place of Ops.

I really enjoyed spartan ops , it felt like campaign esk game type with some cool cutscenes, firefight odst and reach whilst fun initially got a bit stale after a short while . H5 FF hate it with a passion

Halo 5 content updates are over there will not be anything new in Halo 5 anymore.

The game mode.
Spartan ops was a fun little add on for Halo 4. Fun fact, Gabriel Thorne was going to be part of Osiris, but they switched his role to Buck. But his early art work can be seen by unlocking the ‘Forging a legend’ achievement.
Spartan Ops was such a good alternative campaign, but it wasn´t a good marketing strategy, and doesn´t matter how much i liked it, 343i rarely is going to release a season 2, because it doesn´t leave AS MUCH MONEY AS 343i expect that is the real reason why
