WTF is the point. I joined a game with my friend and its… just Ragnarok? Recycled map because theyre lazy.
So then enemies come in and i start shooting (BUT FOR SOME REASON ALL MY CLASSES RESET WTF). Then, The voice over starts saying crap and I’m thinking… wth are we even doing :/. just shooting? Oh wow I died… Oh wow im alive again… no penatly.
ODST Firefight was WAY more fun because the waves NEVER ENDED until everyone was dead. It was similar to COD Zombies!!! And your heart RACED if you were the last one alive!! Because if you won… then your teammates came back to life for one more chance.

So recycled maps = lazy right?
Guess you better stop playing firefight because fire fight maps are generally recycled maps anyway.
It makes a bit more sense if you watch the episodes and play through the missions in the right order. Jumping into the middle of a random mission will leave you more confused than a duck in Antarctica married to a goat. However, I thought the same thing when I saw the Ragnarok in a Spartan Ops mission. Atleast they made logical sense as to why it is there though.

Firefight maps weren’t multiplayer maps, they were from Campaign but I think they worked really well.
I don’t mind that Spartan Ops is using multiplayer maps… whatever really. I just view it is as a theater, where I have to sort of rely on my imagination and let some things go. There’s only so much 343i can do with the available material after all.
Firefight in ODST was massively flawed. IMHO, at least. If it never ends, then what’s the point? It’s why I never enjoyed zombies, either. To me it feels like the goal is just to waste my life, because it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE for me to accomplish anything. You either lose, or you quit; there’s no other option.
Reach had unlimited lives which completely makes it pointless, as well. I think they need to be merged together, so you have an actual objective (besides surviving wave after wave so you can keep surviving wave after wave, and never get anywhere) but the limit on lives makes it a challenge.

Zombies is fun and having leaderboards is what makes it replayable. If FF had public in-game LB’s like Zombies it would have been played more and maybe a bit more fun IMO.
I use to do FF weekends with the Halo 3:ODST settings on Halo:Reach with friends to see how far we could go. Good times.
Funny, I actually enjoy Spartan Ops more than Firefight. But how can that be possible, since you think it’s pointless?! It’s almost as if different people like different things
Personally, Firefight got boring and repetitive for me very quickly. I played it maybe once every few months. SO at least has a story behind it. I’ll admit that the in-game dialogue isn’t spectacular, but having objectives and somewhat varied gameplay, as well as an actual backstory makes for a much more interesting time, in my opinion.
And you are aware that FF recycled maps as well, right?
Spartan Ops isn’t for everyone, just like not everyone likes horde on GoW and Spec OPs on CoD. You rank up a lot faster playing Spartan Ops matchmaking then you would playing normal matchmaking. Plus it is more about the Story then the maps. (That’s my opinion)
firefight was abysmal, terrible, trash.
spartan ops is kind of lazy, but its much more fun. i DO wish that when you died you had to start at a checkpoint or something though, its dumb that you just keep going
I loved how they had multiplayer maps for SPOPs. Made it feel as if when I went on War Games I had a reason for being there. I loved this week and I’m Yoinking! my pants episode 4. I love everything about Halo 4… Other than the DMR needing nerfing, but it’ll come.
