David Ellis said that Season 2 depends on whether or not there is demand for more Spartan Ops. So who knows…

There are 5 more weeks of Season 1. Then, if 343i considers it a success, then they may produce a second season. Though the second season will cost money and will most likely NOT be worth it.

My guess, is that premier is season 2 of spartan ops. Cant imagine it being anything else.
I have been loving Spartan Ops and really hope a second season is done. Can’t wait to see where the rest of Season 1 goes.
Season 1 is off to a shaky start but with each episode it is getting more involved and fun in my opinion. I would be happy to pay for more Halo4 in the hopes the a funded project will give them time and money to add more things aside from waves of enemies, hit switch, more enemies, hit switch over there. There is a lot they can do with the battle sandbox that Halo is and I for one look forward to each episode and future seasons.
I hope there is a second season of spartan ops considering how it continues the story of Halo.
I would like to see another season of Spartan Ops it seems to be getting better each week. Also depends on how much it will cost to see if I will buy it or not.
ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! 343i has confirmed a second half of season 1 coming in January! However, it is on a hiatus due to the ‘Halo 4 Infinity challenge’ and DLC. Here is what is confirmed:
“Microsoft today revealed the future of Halo 4 for the next couple of months. Of particular note is that Halo 4‘s Spartan Ops mode is going on hiatus until January. The first five interactive episodes of Spartan Ops, comprising the first half of “season 1″ have already aired. All five episodes will all be re-entered into Matchmaking, one per week, from December 17 to January 14. A “first-look” at the second half of Spartan Ops season 2 will appear during the Spike TV 10th Annual Video Game Awards on December 7.”

Season 2 has been confirmed by 343, you will have to pay for the season, they havnt confirmed a release date, season 1 part 2 (chapters 5-10)will be released early janauary

You’ve got no proof on that.
My personal speculation is it’s already been developed or in the end of being developed right now. There is no way they’d kick off development the CGI, environments, scripts, mocap, dialogue and all that at the end of season 1.
That would make season 2 far too long in the making. I’m speculating but season 2 is already being made or near finished if you ask me.
I have no issue paying for season 2, I didn’t expect much as season 1 was available along side the campaign but I’ve been massively surprised by the second half of season 1.
I would like to see more scenes in the missions of your in game progressed spartan along side the CGI story as well.
