(Nods Head with approval) I can say taht 343i did a great job with the spartan ops and i want to see more of it soon. Great job doing good with Halo.
I feel like people don’t say this enough…most of what I see on the forums is -Yoinking!-. People need to realize that this is a new Halo, it isn’t CE, 2 or 3 (I’ll admit i never played 2)…so some things are going to be different. I think 343 is doing a great job for what they inherited
For their first game (and especially something which has been going on for 10 weeks) 343 is amazing at making games
Man, that ending was incredibly disappointing. I loved much of what they did with the story right up until the ending.
The whole thing was a whole lot of meh overall. I would honestly have prefered them have fewer chapters overall and have made them longer and see less repeats. There was SOOOOOOOOOO much filler it was ridiculous. Leaving requiem should help open up the missions should they do a season 2, but they had a whole planet to work with in season 1 and that didn’t seem to make much of a difference.
Part 2 followed the near exact same template for season 1. First it is all shiny and new, then at around the mid-point they have a great episode to give us hope(Episodes 3, 7) only to disappoint with more repetitiveness at the end. Only in the second half of season 1 showed their hand even earlier.
I really do like the concept of spartan ops, but it needs a lot of work, crap I would be fine with more than a whole year off of spartan Ops so they can take their time to create unique interesting encounters on varied environments.
Cinematics were good. The gameplay could have been a lot better though.
