I have to admit, when this season started I had NO hopes for it to be any good after the let down Season 1 was. I mean, the story was awful until the last two and all the spaces we were re-used from campaign and multiplier. But Season two has been pretty great so far. It started off a bit slow but last weeks episode was AMAZING. I’m actually excited to play the new ones tomorrow. This is definitely a good direction for the end game content for Halo.
On a side note for tomorrow, I’m also very very excited to finally play some doubles tomorrow. I’ve been waiting for this since release and I finally get to experience it! 
*All that was my opinion, I just wanted to share it and would love some discussion and speculation on tomorrows episode.

We’re on the same boat! I’m hoping that’s because 343i LISTENED to us they just aren’t so good at making things come very quickly yet (that’s what she said).
On a side tangent/related-type thing, I was upset when they posted this: Picture of Episode 8. It was in Episode 7, yes? So no, it is NOT new…waste of a teaser. But anyway, as long as the story is cool and at least 3 of the missions are in new areas, I’ll be more than happy!

Yup still in season 1. We just had a “mid-season hiatus” during the holidays.
so is there another big competition After this season?
I still think it’s lame only think I like about the new episodes is the new maps.
I believe they said in one of the interviews that the campaign team has joined up with the SOPS team to make these episodes. Either way, episodes 6 and 7 have been amazing.
I think it’s a little too early to be hugely concerned about season 2. At least review the final three episode of season 1, so that 343i can then learn from that feedback. I don’t think season 2 will be out for a while; it will likely be released during the summer, in my opinion.
I see you confused midway season 1 with being season 2. I haven’t played into the second half because so far the first half hasn’t been that great. I agree with there being to much recycled areas claiming to be different missions, when in fact each mission in the same area feels exactly the same - loads of enemies, and a go here go there objective.
I have played up until episode 4, I eventually started burning through missions on easy because they all felt repetitive. So far the best from what I have played are the Ragnarok missions. I have got a glimpse of the second half of season 1 with the missions images, looks like there are no recycled areas from the first half, and by what the OP has mentioned it’s starting to sound good, so I’ll definitely check back to spartan ops. I have seen all the cut scenes so far however, the story is getting better and better.

You really think that in the short break between episode 5 and 6, 343i listened to feedback and made the second half of the season as a reaction to fans?

Yeah, this half is much better. It has a deeper story than the first half.
Yeah, this is still Season 1. Just the second half of it. I agree, great episodes.
This half is way better, I agree. I hope to see 343i release a second season, probably would cost 1600 MSP.
