So during the midseason break of Spartan Ops, 343 recognized that having the same play areas over and over again were getting boring and that the community was getting upset/annoyed. They said they’d rectify that with new areas, which they did in Episode 6. Then, well, they repeated those areas. Over and over. We’ve had I think, correct me if I’m wrong, one new area since then, and it was the multiplayer map Vortex. I mean, seriously 343, is it so hard to ask for AT LEAST one brand new area an episode? Not a multiplayer map, not a nighttime version of a previous area, but a brand new play space. I just feel like they’ve gone back on their promise to the community. So tell me guys, do you think I’m wrong? Right? What? I love the story of SpOps, I’m just kind of underwhelmed with the repetitive maps.
Well the maps (Lockup) are being explored in different ways each episode. Look at Ep.9, we go to an entirely new area of Lockup. 343i said in a perfect world each episode would be all new maps, but since we don’t live in a perfect world this isn’t the case. Look, I would love to play new maps every week (who wouldent?) but I do see what 343i is saying. These maps take time to make and have to be tested thoroughly to make them playable.
where have you been they have been putting in new maps sure they reuse some but big whoop. How difficult do you believe map design is ? They have to build these things from the bottom up and at the same time make them high-quality and interesting for people like you be patient and grateful there putting this much effort in you wouldn’t get 1% of the hard work there doing on map design in COD so chill. This episode had more new areas so idk what your talking about.
