I believe someone at 343i said that Spartan Ops missions come out weekly, however you can still play older ones even weeks after they came out. Which is fantastic, I mean what if you don’t get the game on launch day? Or what if you want to replay all the missions?
You can see in the upper right hand corner there is a timer of sorts. Is that a timer to the next mission release or a timer to the end of current mission availability? If it was a timer til the next mission then why does it say time remaining?
Also how will the new missions be released? Will they have to be downloaded as they become available? Are they already on the disc but hidden?
They clearly said that we could replay older missions whenever we want, so it’s not that.
They clearly said that we have to download the new episode each week, although the first few episodes might be included day one (the first episode is on-disc for sure).
It must be a timer set for when the next batch of missions is released.

No, I think the specializations and starting weapon loadouts will be changeable even in the campaign. And the available loadouts will depend on “Spartan points” earned across all aspects of the game. SO “Spartan-points” you earn in Spartan Ops will allow you “buy” new loadouts and specializations that can then affect game play in campaign or War Games. That would give the campaign different “looks” every time you play and make things more interesting as you could try different loadouts and specializations each time you play.
If the question is will the campaign and Spartan Ops cross paths, the answer is probably, but only peripherally. You won’t run across Majestic Team in the middle of Level 4 playing as Master Chief, IMO.
Actually it’s been confirmed that with each week you can only play THAT WEEKS missions.
When the week rolls over, the previous missions disappear.
But the thing is, once the season is over, they will just release all the chapters, or loop it and start over. So you will get to play the missions again anyway.

I know I am relatively new here but I do not troll around
I brought up Spartan Ops on the ME3 forums as an example to what Galaxy at War should have been and some wondered about the impact of Spartan Ops on campaign because, as you know, Bioware screwed us hard on that without even a courtesy reacharound…

That would be nice but some parts of the game might “force” certain load outs. can you imagine the section at the end of the demo if you didn’t have PV? i think the player would fail hard. Reach also had segments that forced certain AA’s (jetpack mostly). I would not want to have to build a specific load out just so i can play one part of the campaign.

From my understanding the Spartan Ops missions are 6 months after the Halo 4 campaign.

You can’t change the initial weapons in campaign, unless they are carried over from the previous level. Also MC cannot use specializations because his armour is only mjolnir gen 1, check the Halo 4 website If you don’t believe me.
(go on 'Ordnance + Armour and scroll down to 'mjolnir gen 2)
