Matchmaking is a little buggy and a fix is coming so I thought okay let me play some PvE. I’ve had issues with halo 4 campaign legendary and not getting the achievement until I had to trick it by in syncing my game and had to play it all again to get the achievement… so I haven’t had an issue with Spartan ops, I completely them all solo on normal and some heroic and it shows that I have. I just completed 3:2 on legendary and it still says heroic… it felt very unsatisfactory to see that happen especially after mostly getting spawn killed by enemies. Does anyone know a fix for this? Do I have to re-sync my game, reinstall it, or should I play it again on legendary? Out of all the bugs mcc has ever had even comparing this bug to matchmaking not working at launch, this bug and player stats being incorrect are really annoying. Other than those bugs I think mcc has ran pretty well. Blarg.
I am also experiencing this issue.
Just beat Spartan Op 7-2 on Legendary, still shows as not played despite giving me progress towards the weekly/seasonal challenges.
On Steam for me, before anyone says if I filed a ticket through Halo Support, I already did. (Actually already had one filed last year but closed it out because my difficulty completion from Xbox/Microsoft Store didn’t sync at all to Steam so I started redoing the completion on Steam, which worked until Season 7 update).
On Steam specifically for me (I already have completed both Solo and Coop on Xbox and Microsoft Store, Microsoft Store synced from Xbox correctly on every mission), before updating to Season 7, on Season 6, I was able to complete a mission on Legendary for both Solo and Coop just fine, but now in the Season 7 update, did the first three missions on Spartan Ops Episode 3 and none of the missions on Legendary gave me any completion from doing it on Solo now (cannot confirm Coop since I completed it on Steam already).
I’m glad to know it’s not just my game that’s broken. Must be a bug then. Thanks for the input!
Yeah, been seeing the same thing. Running Spartan Ops on Legendary Solo and after completing a mission post Season 7 update the in-game completion tracker doesn’t register the completion. Still tracks for Steam achievements and season challenges, so not sure why specifically the in-game difficulty completion tracker isn’t working.
I have this same issue, I cannot figure out which levels I still need to do on legendary because it doesn’t show which ones are completed. Tried several different xboxes, MCC on the PC etc. All don’t show progress
Glad I’m not the only one experiencing this. I love 343, but I swear every time they squash one bug, another 8 show up.
Like the 2 above me, still not showing completion though the achievements still work. Just remember which one you stopped at.

I’ve been keeping track of it in my notes app otherwise it’s too hard for me to remember.
I’m on console and I’ve also noticed that Spartan ops progress is not counting. I put in a ticket through Halo Support and they said they are aware of the issue but have no current fix at this time
I’m on PC, hate that its a bug we can’t fix for now. I completed 6-5 to finish out the chapter and it didn’t count in-game nor an achievement for the chapter complete, and then I tried 7-1 and same thing happened; nothing. Worked just fine during season 6. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I’ve been dreading these achievements, spartan ops is the worst.

Agreed. I’m trying to get through them as fast as possible since it is such a monotonous chore, especially on legendary difficulty. I find that writing down what episode/chapter I’m up to in my notes app on my phone helps me keep track of it since they all just say easy in game. Thank goodness the legendary achievement progress is tracking though, and I make sure to check that it still is each time I complete an episode.

Wait so the Complete Spartan Ops on Legendary achievement would still work even though it says Difficulty Completed still says Normal?

Yes. If you go to the achievement menu and look at the legendary one it will still be counting up. Mine are all stuck on easy and I just finished the last chapter on legendary difficulty and got the achievements (normal, heroic, legendary, legendary solo).

Rest assured that they are still progressing towards the appropriate difficulty achievements regardless.
I think in the original halo 4 you couldn’t wear the champion armors in Spartan ops so I think adding them and the keystone helmet to mcc bugged out the stats for showing difficulty completion. It’s interesting that you guys say you still get the legendary achievement. So that’s not so bad.
I don’t even bother looking at my overall mcc stats anymore. Half my multiplayer stats are frozen so I don’t even bother checking to see it has gotten fixed yet. 343 will have a new waypoint app with infinite so I’m hoping infinite’s stats are solid.

I didn’t think this thread was going to get as many replies as it has. Mcc game may be buggy here and there but I’m glad I can confirm these bugs through waypoint. I practically play mcc with waypoint open by my side and when I see a bug or have a suggestion I just create a thread which results in useful replies or feedback.
Also there going to do 10 seasons for mcc so hopefully Spartan ops and other bugs gets fixed before infinite launches.
