Please don’t take this the wrong way, I am just as eager to play as you are. Spartan Ops looks and sounds amazing!http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h353/chark19/SpartanOps-1.jpg
But what I’m fighting with is allowing us to play part in a story that takes place 6 months AFTER MC’s new story. It’s like chewing on a candy bar with the wrapper still on it.
I think, and please I AM SO SORRY, that we should play the Campaign first and then unlock Spartan Ops mode after we beat it. That way, we are always on the same page. No skipping to the end to see Dumbledor die, and then waking up the Chief.
OR, we can only advance in Spartan Ops once we have cleared “THAT milestone” as the Chief. See what I mean? Please understand.
Uh, just play campaign first, why does it matter what others do?
Im sure that the majority will jump straight into campaign before we do Spartan Ops
I agree. Here is my vote.
> Uh, just play campaign first, why does it matter what others do?
Weird, I just replied to this, but it didn’t show up.
All I’m saying is I didn’t think it was right to be doing something 6 months in the future, skipping Chiefs grand return and fight on Requiem, when our Spartans could be doing the same thing, at the same time, just a few away. I don’t want to control or affect anyones experience. Do what you want. I just find it Mordin Solus “…Problematic.”
> Uh, just play campaign first, why does it matter what others do?
I agree…it’s up to us not to spoil the story.
Hey if people want to spoil the campaign before they even start it who am I to tell them no?
Oh I loved the link got a good giggle out of it.
I don’t see the problem really. Anyone can pick up Halo 4 and have never touched Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, or Reach. So it’s basically just that. Also, the story will probably not involve spoilers pertaining to MC’s story.
> Im sure that the majority will jump straight into campaign before we do Spartan Ops
But will they beat the campaign? After the campaign is when Spartan Ops takes place. It’s messing with a timeline that should still be full of question marks!
I agree. It would probably be smart to start Spartan Ops the week after it’s released just because most people will be busy with the Campaign. I won’t mind if they start it the week of release. I’ll just have more to do after I finish the Campaign.
> Uh, just play campaign first, why does it matter what others do?
“I love it when a plan comes together”
It would be annoying seeing other players playing spartan ops having NO idea what to do because they havent beat campaign. Because of this I agree that Spartan Ops should be released a little bit later not to an extreme though. Like a week or 2.

Right, well, maybe…
I’m starting to like my idea about unlocking Spartan Ops after beating the Chiefs campaign. But whatever. Odds are, I won’t even touch the campaign until I have a cool helmet in multiplayer. lol, which would take a few days.
Yeah, if you just play campaign first there won’t be any issues.
I’m just thinking to myself, what if it takes me more than a week to finish the Campaign due to time constraints? I know I will be very busy around the time Halo 4 comes out, and I doubt I’ll have time to finish the game straight away.
Once that happens, I would be behind in Spartan Ops by a couple weeks, which means I don’t get to share the same first-time experience with my friends and everyone else in the world. “Water-cooler moments” destroyed.
Unless of course the story allows me to just dive into Spartan Ops first, with no connection to the main campaign and therefore no real spoilers or nothing taken out of context. Then that would be perfectly fine.
Unless I just ignore all my work and rush through the Campaign on day one, heh.
i’m pretty sure the first episode won’t spoil halo 4 campaign.
