This topic is for suggestions for alternate names for spartan ops… I’ve created it because every time I hear “SPARTAN” and “OPS” in the same sentence I physically cringe. 343 NEEDS to change the name in my opinion- It’s not too late, not yet. Please help voice a big part of the die-hard halo fans’ opinion. This is HALO 343, not Modern Warfare. I know that they should be able to better than that lousy name with all of the other great stuff it seems like they’ve done. I also know that if you are reading this you believe that Halo is better than this. So lets come up with some ideas.
Someone else suggested “Infinity Ops”, which sounds pretty good to me.
Personally, I think “DavidJCOps” is the way to go, but everyone I suggest it to just shoots it down.

I still don’t see why Spartan Ops needs to be called something else. I understand the need to change the name of Spartan Points, but I don’t understand Spartan Ops. Spartan Operations. It makes sense to me.

I can honestly say being a Zealot-like Halo fan, i actually found CoD Spec Op’s to be fun really so i guess i am looking forward to this.
Alas the multiplayer is making me unhappy 
It sounds to much like Spec OPs from MW3, it for sure needs to be changed to something better
I agree because lots of people say its copying cod spec ops mode.
instead of calling it “Spartan Points” i think they should be called “Halo’s” just for the lols

Its a great name if 343 is aiming to steal fans from COD and/or get halo fans back that went to COD.
The spec ops missions in COD are sub par. Spartan ops in halo 4 will be amazing in scale. Having “spartan ops” In halo 4 will give the cod fans who want something new, a recognizable name and when they play spartan ops they will most likely enjoy it alot better.
Whoever is behind marketing and ideas to pull fans from other franchises back into halo is a genius

Which I’d say sounds like a good idea since Jacob said that others are saying the same.

When halo was the #1 mainstream shooter there were underage gamers in it. If halo is to be in the limelight it was in before your going to have to tolerate the underage players. Casuals(Younger gamers included) are the vast majority of the FPS fanbase whether you like it or not.
