How exactly does Spartan Ops tie into the campaign?
Well, it is a story that takes place about 6 months after the Campaign. How it ties in exactly is still mostly unknown at this time. My guess is that a lot of the storyline will involve exploring Requiem and its artifacts. The latest Sparkast talks a lot about Spartan Ops if you’re interested.
EDIT: I was just listening again and they make a point that you probably want to play Campaign first which is understandable.

I really hope that I will be able to play Spartan Ops in singleplayer mode.
That would be nice but I doubt it. Do you have Xbox Live Gold? Because if not you probably won’t be able too… but I might be wrong.
I’m not trying to force people to play something they don’t want to. It’s your game.
But I felt 343i should LOCK Spartan Ops for everyone until they beat the MC’s campaign, OR only allowing a few chapters to come into play once the player has completed a certain level that is equivalent to a Spartan Ops chapter.
Yea that would be cool.
