spartan ops mission types?

Are all the missions going to be like the one released because i think it would be cool if some were like stealth missions or sniper ones, maybe even grab the intel and run missions. What do you guys think

There’ll be all sorts of missions; Missions in space, in the desert in a large battlefield, stealthy missions, etc.

That’s why I think it gives the game so much replay value and why it’s much better than firefight. It’s great that we get fifty free missions. This gamemode has the potential of becoming one of the best gamemodes in FPS history.

By the way, I think I saw in one of the Vi-Docs a sniper mission in SO. We also saw a regular mission with a lot of action. I am pretty sure 343i will put a lot of variety in Spartan Ops.

Simple ideas of what types of missions that could be available:

  • Sniper missions, where you have to take out certain high value targets before they get to cover/escape.
  • Stealth missions, where you infiltrate a base and steal some info, plant a bomb or kidnap/kill a certain individual.
  • Rescue missions, where you have to take out an armed guard and escort someone to safety, their survival is your highest priority.
  • Battle missions, your mission is simple, go in and annihilate the enemy, this mission demands that you leave no witnesses.
  • Exploration missions, your job is to get from A to B, to find a certain item or just to get to know the surroundings for future missions.

I’d like to see a mission that features a heavily damaged UNSC ship crashing into an ocean or a large lake. The player has to escape the ship fighting off Covenant while the ship quickly sinks. :smiley:

I’m pretty sure mission types will vary. Really looking forward to this. I’m hoping it’ll blow firefight out of the water
