Spartan Ops Mission Ideas

This is Bill again. Had some downtime from flying so I went back and started playing Halo 3 for laughs. Before I did I had to set the mood with ODST. Looking at the Idea for SPARTAN OPS I realized its going to be too similar to Fire Fight. They might throw in a bomb mission or hold and defend an area but thats all there really doing.

Looking at the the preveiw you have the USS INFINITY which in the preveiw is being attacked by either the new AI or the Covenant. So in the back of my mind its " Hey your a walking death trap almost against anything they send at you." Where the fun in that? Well, your not vunerble but they are. What happens when you and your fellow spartans have to transport a high value target as a convoy to a drop zone? Well you have vehicles, you have weapons, you have AIs and you have multiple routes between you and the LZ. Did I mention a time limit? Thats a real world scenario.

Not trying to make this to real. Its Halo 4, not the USMC. But does anyone remember the last level of ODST? Well you get to a the LZ, theres people waiting or you have to wait for you airlift out. All those people you tick off without killing on your way that the yellow brick road are now on your 6 and gunning for you. On a certain level they can bring back that Elephant that was slow as crap or they can say your going by foot. How many times have you played and known without a doubt the sniper was going to be in a certain spot on the map. You think you know, well now you dont. Times ticking, your intel sucks and you have to go from there.

To sum it up catch your ride before you run out of time. If you are not on that bird when it takes off well sorry friend your going to loose points and even maybe experiance. The whole convoy experiance can make Halo 4 feel that much more intense. Unless you rather play guard dog in an area with no importance at wave by wave of enemy comes to your location.

Also to be funny, throw in some more human AI’s that suck with weopons. If you save them good on you. Just make sure when they get there you have a ride.

Also could we get some motivational music?

I don’t know. The Spartan Ops mission they’ve shown at SDCC looked alot more like a small Campaign mission than Firefight. To be honest, I’m not worried.
