Spartan ops machmaking when?

Spartan ops is a good bit of fun and more when you get burned out in firefight and still want to chill in PVE having a “loose” objective to do is fun, not to mention that spartan ops has more variety other than just silenced smg or dmr, i do belive that spartan ops is a good companion to firefight, and having the ability to play online with randos would be fun and a break from the monoty of firefight for those chill or challenge unlucking times

Yes, this needs to be a thing. While death has no real consequence, even on legendary where you can eventually finish as long as you get at least one kill before you die, having two or three randos playing along would break a lot of that monotony. It would even feel like playing in an actual fireteam.
While we’re at it, can we get a campaign coop match maker? Maybe have vanilla difficulties (normal, heroic, etc), laso, or even a featured playlist of missions for the week (with or without skulls)

…just play with friends?

Yes! That campaign machmaking playilist was a thing back in reach days! One of Halos strangth was always its pve combat and having “just” firefight feels like a wasted oportunity

Step One - Find more friends.

Fair enugh, but why not find frens in spartan ops matchmade? And changing the “firefight” menu for a “PVE” it woud add morw challenge variety other than “play 3 firefighr maches with 50 kills” every week and esencialy the same challenges every week

That would be pretty good and Reach had that Feature, wonder why MCC does not have it

I very much agree about this. But the thing is I believe 343 has said that Spartan Ops uses a similar networking model with the Campaigns as well currently and at this point since Spartan Ops Story wise actually fits more in the Campaign section right now, every campaign should get matchmaking as well, not just Spartan Ops only so it would take quite alot of effort to make it happen with everything they are currently developing right now, if they are to implement such a feature (I do really want to see this happen regardless). Also Halo Reach originally had Matchmaking for the Campaign as well but wasn’t exactly the most popular mode on there (in the MCC however this might be different if development on the feature can be more in depth than how it was attempted in the past). At this point they need to move all the missions onto dedicated servers to improve the network models so its not so much of a laggy experience. At a casual level for playing Spartan Ops, they actually are kind of fun if you just messing around and not taking it too seriously, but going Hardcore with it, its not exactly that much fun, especially playing it solo (because Spartan Ops was intended to be played with 4 players actually, which is why its not much fun playing these below 4 players). Also finding friends to play this on a regular basis, your not really going to find people that always want to play these missions. The thing is they are similar to Firefight missions but have a story arc to these missions.

And lastly if they are going to bring in Matchmaking to all of the Campaign and Spartan Ops, they have to also upgrade Halo CEA and 2A to 3-4 player coop so it is aligned with the other Halo games, changes would have to be made to the gameplay part of the campaigns of course to support this as well (they did answer this question back in November but no word since then if they are going to make this happen).

Thus is true, and with further consideration a full fledge campaign matchmaking may be too much, campaign servers ARE requiered tho but for a matchmaking list adding spartan ups should be a fair request

Ummm sorry sweaty, but ODST’s Firefight also runs in campaign so that point is moot. :^)
