I think it will be more story driven than Spec Ops. I know what you mean the idea of Co-op based game mode like Spec Ops is there but what isn’t in games today?
I am actually quite excited that this is included, co-op/ weekly/ story and assuming free?

I know I can’t wait for the mode, I was just taking the piss out of the fact that they didn’t even try and hide that it was taken straight from CoD.

I don’t mind this kind of stuff, I’d actually prefer they have it.
But what they did to multiplayer…

They took out one of my favorite game modes (Firefight) just to cater to the call of duty crowed, I’m disappointed.
Well I guess a lot of people will be happy to play Spec ops in Halo.
I hope that Spartan Ops will be two things. Firstly some missions must be story driven and act like extra campaign missions. Secondly some Ops must be like the ones from CoD; hold out missions and take/destroy an objective. I hope that Spartan Ops uses lots of ideas from the books hopefully including Spartan 3s without shields and only with camo. I always wanted more stealth missions in Halo.

Am I missing something, where is everyone getting their information from? If it’s from that image with the elite it’s fake. Or has a magazine or sparkcast come out which i’ve missed?

There is no “dedicated” Firefight. Whatever the hell that means.

I’m guessing that has been stated in GameInformer in which I must have missed from the ‘assets’ i was given.

Pretty sure it means “lolnope” and it’s getting replaced with spec ops. (Yes, I am going to continue to call it that unti 343 change the name. Suck it up.)

Spartan Ops?
I’ve always wanted true co-op for Halo. Spartan Ops seems to answer that desire and at the same time expand on the fiction of the universe and the events of the story.
Also, if FireFight does end up taken out, Spartan Ops missions can still have FireFight-type encounters.
