I can’t wait to play it! The cutscenes look extremely well done, and the missions seem like they will be short, but will still be fun. Even if you get bored because there isn’t a ranking system cough you can always look forward to some more campaign-esque missions. I think it will be more than a worthy successor to Firefight.

I believe David Ellis said that the missions have mixed objectives. Some are to ‘extract’ high priority targets such as artifacts or peoples, and others may be scouting, recon, or even Firefight-esque missions.
There is no doubt in my mind they won’t go back to their roots with it

As for me, I am VERY excited to try Spartan Ops. Although with my lack luster internet speeds, I may not be able to do it co-op

Thank God! I’ve been looking for a quality topic like this for over an hour. Honestly I’m stoked for Spartops either solo or with my friends. Can’t wait to see what scenarios we’ll be put into.
I saw a CoD and Halo fan call it spec ops. I want to kill him for mixing the two. This is not an objective like gametype with poor AI mechanics. This is a second campain, something most games (or any game beside Halo 4) don’t have.

No, I believe Spartan Ops is free as long as you bought the game and have a gold membership.

They stated Season 1 was free, but I believe that the other seasons will cost MS points. They do have to spend time and money to make essentially another campaign. Hopefully it’s a reasonable price.
