My brother and I played through the Halo 4 co-op campaign split-screen on my 360, and had fun doing it, and we wanted to go and do Spartan Ops as well, but of course it requires an XBox Live Gold account.
So I entered my free trial, and tried to sign my brother in as a guest but it wouldn’t let me. Now, I suspect this is because it’s just a trial account, rather than a proper gold subscription, and a few search results say as much.
What I’d like to get a definitive answer on however is; if I pay for a full gold account (e.g - 1 month) then will my brother be able to play as a guest for some more split-screen co-op? I don’t want to pay for the subscription only to find that we both need one for example, so it’d be nice to know from people that have done the same thing and found that it does work.
