Introduction to Concern: So when your friends are busy and you want to play Spartan Ops and select find match, I noticed that you are not able to pick which episode or the difficulty.
Problem 1: The difficulty for “Find Game” is stuck on Heroic difficulty and has no option to do Legendary with random players.
Problem 2: I noticed that in “Find Game” for Spartan Ops there is also no option to select what episode you want to play with other random people.
Acknowledgment: I know it may be possible that this was intended by the developing team so if this was not a mistake then I move this post as a game suggestion.
Suggestion: Is it possible that this will be fixed and or be an option later to be able to select Episode and difficulty under the Spartan Ops “Find Game” section of Halo 4?
I believe that they only have the current episode up for searching on xbox live. This is probably not an accident.
And in halo reach FF online was heroic only. It gives a challenge that all players can work against with out it being too hard. If you want to play other episodes or play on different difficulties play with friends.
I believe the reasoning is to not divide up the players that play spartan ops online. Same reason why we have very spasific playlists. To keep healthy populations without wasting space.
That makes sense, but sometimes friends are to busy and are not able to assist with a harder difficulty. What if they allowed the two hardest difficulties? Easy and normal do not really require assistance for most players. That would still keep a pretty large population, don’t you think so? What about after all the episodes have been released? What should the options be then you think? I really have no stance at the moment. I just like the two hardest difficulties to be accessible for option.
That is an excellent idea. I think it should help you find players and then allow for either a vote or the host to set the game. That could possibly work. Great suggestion.
Sorry it wasn’t really my idea, its just that if you invite 3 people into your party in the ingame roster then go to a Spartan ops lobby, you get to control everything.
But yeah, if the matchmaking party could be made initially then a vote would be good, although it could be a bit cumbersome/slow to get started.
I do prefer playing with friends though then new missions are great, 4 people in 4 tanks!? I don’t think i have ever seen this in halo before… the most being 3 tanks on the ARK level in Halo 3 after the FUD comes in and lands
I also liked the 4 Mantises they gave on Episode 3, 4th mission. I misunderstood what you meant then. But some people do not have such loyal friends to assist so sometimes it is nice to find strangers to assist. That is the point of my post.
Ah yeah! the mantis’ are great, and the fact they respawn instantly if you die is a nice touch
I wish the guys i play with were online more often, 90% of the time i play solo, i dont mind respawning 50 times to get legendary done, but it really doesn’t feel as pro as i’d like that way haha!
They deffo need more options, i think maybe all 10 episodes are out we may get some really cool bits to play with.
I wonder if the reasons for holding off on the campaign/spartan ops theater stuff is to wait untill it has all been released? Hopefully they will reward us with some good stuff in t he end.
the reason for that is that you may not want to play other maps, there’s ALWAYS enough people on to be able to play whatever map you want
on top of that lets say a new episode comes out, do you want to be forced to play through the 5th level when you want to work through them 1 to 5?
everyone prefers different missions and you can clearly see that by the numbers, episode one level 1 and 5 was the most popular hoever i think level 1 only had high numbers because it was the first one as such, episode 2 level 5 was then the most popular however i prefered to plat level 4 and now in episode 3 it seems that level 1 and 4 are most popular and i believe it is due to all the vehicle action you get
as for difficulty because this is spartan ops there’s no problem with dying if you’re not skilled enough to play legendary and those who did vote for it would supposedly be able to carry you through, even if you are all “bad” players only ever accustomed to playing on normal you will still be able to work through it with a bit of team work, honestly i play with my brother some times and he’s -Yoink!- terrible to the point of dying multiple times on easy however just having another person there is a distraction which helps immensely, hen me and a friend did episode 2 on legendary he even commented on how terrible at playing he was but a lovely distraction
