I love how they’ve listened to fan feedback and we’re finally getting new environments. And having our spartans in the cutscenes makes it so much more immersive.
If I’ve learned one thing from Halo 4, its that 343i is very good at hyping their products. I thought the first half of season 1 looked amazing too but it was lackluster imo. So for once I am going to reserve judgement for the second half of spops for when I actually play it.
I thin the second half of Spartan Ops is going to see a rennaisance in what has been a bit of a mired launch. An excellent campaign, with fun but problematic matchmaking, SOps and update/map pack fiascoes, 343 is learning what they did wrong.
With the campaign behind us, multiplayer and SOps will finally get the fine tuning they need.
Two years from now I’m sure H4 will be remembered as an epic game.
It better be good, I’m getting sick and tired of playing the same levels over and over. I don’t care about the cutscenes they make for each episode just get them out faster! Once you reach the end of the season you can only replay levels so many times before it gets really boring. Hopefully they’ll release EP6 before I max out the next 4-5 commendations. Won’t be long now, I’ll have half of the S. ops commendations completed.

I’ve never had to play it with you. That’s gold right there.
Looks like a major step up from the first half. Love more of the interactivity, alternate routes and ways to play the mission, the huge Spartan Ops map (I always felt so closed in in small Spartan Ops maps), and how the mission ends with us getting sucked in into the Phantom.

I love it, it’s really like the second campaign that they promised.

Just ignore this guy, all he does is spread hate on these forums. I have not seen 1 postive post made by him.

lolwut? So I guess 343i slapping “most anticipated game of 2012” on all their Halo 4 ads was just cause? Guess all the talk about “awesome water cooler moments” from 343i in regards to spops wasn’t hype at all? Do you even know what the word hype means?
I’m looking forward to it. I for one LOVE Spartan Ops, and seeing it progress into a full-fledged Campaign Arc is amazing. I especially love that we can now see the cutscenes while in parties. I hated that before.
I can’t wait to play in the Saber in a new environment and mission!

That’s Microsoft genius.
And i’m pretty sure even Major Nelson himself stated that it was the most anticipated game of 2012 for the xbox.
The stuff with spartan ops are the designers themselves being excited about their product. It’s their opinion isn’t it? You can’t be angry at them for having an opinion.
anyway, did you see the gameplay? It is obviously a huge improvement.

What’s even better is that we can finally fly banshees, there are multiple routes you can complete a mission, throwback weapons scattered around maps, and in the first episode you don’t have AA or weapons and perks. It like you’ve really been captured and are fighting you’re way out. The new maps seem so much more immersive as well. Spartan Ops seems to be a worthy replacement for firefight now.

Ok so 343i/Microsoft, whatever. Despite the fact they are virtually the same thing, change “343i is good at hyping their products” with “Microsoft is good at hyping their products” and it doesn’t change the meaning. The company responsible for selling Halo 4 is good at hyping it up and in my opinion falling short of expectations. Don’t “be angry at me for having an opinion.”
And in regards to the designers, I never said I was angry with them. Fact is they were excited with their product, talked very big about it, thus creating hype. And then it fell short in my opinion. Point still stands.

Well, 343 and MS aren’t the same thing. But that’s going off topic.
Anyways, after seeing the gameplay myself, I don’t need them to talk it up in order for me to know it’s good. I’m very excited now, but that’s jus my opinion anyway.
