If spartan ops is the same 5 levels for the whole season then that sucks! Hit button and kill. It’s already old. Fire fight was better if that’s the case.

I hope they use more maps than we have seen so far but I’m having fun. Firefight was great but it was repetitive also. Spartan Ops has a ton of potential I hope 343i makes use of.
As much as I like Firefight I do enjoy Spartan ops , but you seem to be not understanding that this is not Firefight , This is haLo 4 campaign continued 6 months Later after the 1st Trip to Requiem.
I’m honestly not sure why they couldn’t have had Fire Fight as well. I loved Firefight, and I’m damn sure I wasn’t the only one =/
I like Spartan Ops too, mind you. But I don’t play it over and over again like I did FF.
I want to believe the first two episodes used the same maps because they needed a little extra time to get some polish down for Episode 3. But if that’s not the case, then I agree, and the potential of Spartan Ops will be wasted.
i like SO. and i think that theres not much diffrent between SO and FF.
and on legendary it makes fun and you get fast xp. so why not…

I thought perhaps episode 2 had unfinished business " story " is why they went back to these areas but yes also have time to get episode 3 ready =)
Spartan Ops is meant to be played 3-4 times. Unless you’re trying to complete the challenges.
All the love firefight is getting yet when ever went int off on reach it always had low population
If they start changing the levels then spartan ops will be the -Yoink-. I hope they mix it up because I do like it.
Fire fight was great in odst! Not so much in reach.
Maybe they should just fix Firefight in Reach and add a new DLC that’s like the Defiant Map Pack, but instead of one firefight map they include four new ones that can act like ODST.
Reach’s MM may die out over time, but with some DLC love for Firefight it could still breathe some life into Reach.
I think there’s a fundamental flaw with how 343 designed Spartan Ops. It’s meant to be a Firefight analogue, and yet there’s no meaningful scoring system, nor is there a meaningful death system. Think back to ODST and Reach, getting medals and points actively in the game, and even the infamous Firefight Arcade, where you’re at least playing for a score. Removing that was like removing your motivation for coming back and improving.
Then you have the lives system, or rather the lack thereof. You could actually lose in Firefight, and making it as far as possible without dying was the goal in gameplay. I understand that Spartan Ops missions are more linear in scope, but why didn’t they respond to that with a campaign-like checkpoint system? I’ve had many instances where me and my buddy both die, but don’t get sent back to the last checkpoint and it just feels like we didn’t deserve that spawn.
Finally there’s skulls. Campaign has them all unlocked right off the bat, just like Firefight in ODST and Reach. I don’t see why Spartan Ops has to be any different, it’s just making for less replayability.
I’d love to see these things patched in somehow, because those are the big blockades preventing me from seeing much of a future playing Spartan Ops. The gameplay is fine, what’s under the hood isn’t. Come on 343, you know that no risk means no reward! Reintroduce a scoring system like Firefight had.

There are variety of enemies and maps and story and spawning and weapons and objectives like destroying and neutrelizing and activating and everything!
You make no sense. Spartan Ops is better then Firefight.
