Great thread, OP

It was inside the Infinity

dudes i lve the picture quality and the stuff they put into it and the story line is BOSS> thenks 343 industries

Sick! I think might hop on and play it. Thanks man!

First chapter is on Requiem. The rest on Infinity.

Boss indeed. The quality is up there with any of the campaign missions and I do sincerely hope that 343 keeps this level of -Yoinking!- SWEETNESS up.

Also, props to whoever designed the first level of ep 7. It’s probably the last thing people will congradulate 343 for but I felt that it was precisely what Halo needs right now (a bit less linearity.)

Is it bad that I have absolutely no desire to play the rest of the SO chapters? And from what I have been told, the maps are taken straight out of the campaign maps too/again? Still disappointed.

No skulls, no scoring, no fun.

Absolutely amazing ops. 10/10

Since your opinion has been strictly infromed by “from what you’ve been told” yes, it is bad.

Not to be the stick in the mud, but it’s spelled… excellent. :=|

Over the past two episodes, there’s been ONE campaign map used, and it’s handled so well (including a change in the time of day and the way the area is played) that I didn’t even notice it was the same map until a few minutes after I started playing. There’s also been one multiplayer map used (Vortex) but the way it’s used is fantastic, less linear than usual, and actually really memorable. That particular chapter surpasses the “mantis fight in Valhalla” level.

The rest of the chapters have been even better, and though I could make a small complaint about how this week’s episode focuses too much on a particular server room, it’s handled so well that I’ll forgive it. And the Cinematic episode? It was one of the best cutscenes I’ve seen in a long time.

To Vintage: Play Episodes 6 and 7, you won’t be disappointed. The gameplay is excellent, and the narrative is actually getting really good as well, exemplified by the first chapter of each of the two episodes.

You mean vintage. (I’ve already kept the covenant from frog blasting our vent core.)

They are really taking the criticism of the previous episodes and are really improving Spartan Ops. I am looking forward to next weeks episode!

Oops, yeah I just noticed that. Fixed.

That is not the reason that I don’t want to play it. There was a massive break in the episodes, and during that break, I have only played a little bit of Halo. New spartan ops missions haven’t been able to lure me back because of how the past missions have played out.

The only good thing about Spartan Ops so far is the cutscenes/videos. They look really good.

Let me just tell you that it plays out nothing like the glorified wave battles and annoying dialogue that plagued the first half of the season.

Today’s episode gave me fond memories of past Halo games, while still inventing enough for itself to feel fresh. I’d really recommend you try out the latest few episodes. Also (this is just a good bonus) the enemy count is just low enough to make it manageable to play on your own.

I’m really enjoying SO right now.

Heck even Palmer isn’t dumb and annoying.

I hope this is a standard for the rest of the season.

Oh, and the CGI is just sweeeeet!

This episode is very engaging. It makes you feel like you are actually fighting for a cause for the first time since the start of Spartan Ops. Keep it going.
