Spartan Ops Is Dumb.

Now I’m not going to discuss anything leaked at all.

Spartan Ops has been CONFIRMED:
“And yes, Spartan Ops is as awesome as it sounds. Can’t wait to share more.” - 343 employee

So let me just point out one fact I noticed.

Spartan Ops should not be called Spartan Ops, and here’s why. I’m pretty sure that Master Chief is the last spartan. So if there’s CO-OP, THERE CANT BE MULTIPLE SPARTANS! 343 you could have just called it Halo Ops or something original because all that this shows is that you’re trying to copy COD’s formula for success.

Also, you do know that nobody really plays spec ops in COD, right?
Why bother introducing something to your game you already know doesn’t work?

Chief isn’t the last spartan…

Read the books.

No it isn’t. Its a great idea that will expand the Halo co op experience into something much better than other game’s co op modes. Why wouldnt you want a co op mode with a story arc that receives content every week.

Stopped reading at ‘Chief is the last Spartan’ LOL Ash, Tom, Lucy, Fred, Kelly, Linda, Team Katana, Spartan 4s and I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

Not sure if troll or just stupid

…Someone didn’t watch the first look trailer.

Spartan Ops is focused on the MP aspect COUGHSpartan IVsCOUGH

So quit finding something to argue about.

Oh hey the OP has played Halo 4! He must totally know whats he’s talking about right? RIGHT? No you don’t OP. Just because it shares the term “Ops” with a Call of Duty game, it doesn’t mean it’s the same thing. Ops is short for “Operations” after all and so it’s not a Call of Duty trademark or anything. To me Spartan Ops sounds like a story based Co-Op which takes place behind the scenes of the main campaign. Or at least that’s what I gather from the leaked info so far. This sounds awesome to me if it’s true.

One thing I liked about Reach was Noble Six’s customization because he looked that way in Multiplayer and Campaign. Seeing your custom character in cutscenes was neat. However in Halo 4 we’re back to being the Chief and so we can’t customize him like we did before. So they make that up by giving you a Spartan IV to customize for Multiplayer, but just like Reach you can use him/her in a Campaign. That’s a brilliant idea, especially if it is truly plot driven and has impact as to what is happening in the Reclaimer trilogy.

Then they can update it with DLC to add to the story. Imagine as Halo 5 approaches they begin to release more “in between” storylines to help bridge the gap. How does that sound bad?
