Spartan-Ops in Halo Infinite

I was wondering if anyone thinks Halo Infinite could have a secondary campaign similar to Spartan-Ops in Halo 4. While it was repetitive it some regards, it did breathe some more life into our playable Spartans and some of those missions, were pretty fun too. Plus it was even more fun to play in multiplayer, although that’s how it was meant to be played. I tihnk if they had more distinct levels and reduced Sarah Palmer’s dialogue (maybe keep her as a minor background character like they did in Halo 5 because she was so annoying in Halo 4 and Escalation), it would definitely be even more amazing. If Halo Infinite is going to have masssive landscapes like they keep hinting at, who’s to say some of it can’t be recycled for a secondary campaign?

Definitely a cool idea. I enjoyed Spartan Ops.

The only thing stopping me from wanting this is that I feel as if it would take away from post game multiplayer support.
The post game content for Halo 5 was great. New weapons, Armour, Vehicles & Maps on a regular basis.
If we were to get Ops back it would more than likely cut into the multiplayer content. To me multiplayer outweighs Ops by a landslide.

Since last week i’ve been playing Spartan Ops again with friends who are new to Halo. Every night we do 5 missions on legendary. Takes a while, but we have loads of fun. So yes, would love something like this to happen!

Spartan Ops was a good concept with less than stellar execution. I’m all in if it feels more like a few ODST style levels with interesting and meaningful side stories (let’s say a set of 2 side characters with a few levels each) than what it did in H4. I don’t really need more stuff that feels like Warzone FF with a bit of story slapped on top of it.

Just Ops would be nice so we can play as arby, atriox, and/ or any spec ops unit of any faction.

As long as it doesn’t replace firefight, then I’m fine with it.

If it is related to the campaign.

I really enjoyed Spartan Ops in H4 however, I was disappointed for lack of a Firefight mode. Spartan Ops is a good idea and can expand on the campaign to attract more players possibly.

This halo should bring together everything that was good in previous haloes.
-Firefight
-Invasion
-Spartan Ops
Bring back the elites as playable characters in the MP and add the brutes too.

It’s not totally a bad addition, but they need to get it right, I tried to play through it by myself, but it just got so repetitive and frustrating (the amount of watchers was AWFUL), that I ended up just watching the video clips.

If Infinite has spartan ops, then they probably need your player actually being more tied into a story, not just sending the player out to kill enemies and then your done. That’s more of a firefight thing. Having some kind of interesting mission requirements like “kill the elite general before the commandos arrive” is way more interesting than “destroy 3 power cores and kill all enemies.” This would make it so much better so that it’s not just the campaign areas with double or triple enemies.

I really liked Spartan Ops, I remember I would wait for each episode like if it was a tv series and play it with my father before going to school. I would love to see something like that come back.

I’d rather they focus on bringing a full game at launch, then focusing on the next title…all Spartan Ops felt like was rehashing the same levels over, over and it got repetitive.
