Each member of Fireteam Majestic has the Kingslayer emblem, visor colour, and armor colours (blue and white). They also wear full armor sets, unlike how most of us wear armor pieces ranging from all kinds of different sets.
Because of their squad name, I think of Fireteam Crimson all wearing the same emblem, visor, and colours much like how Fireteam Majestic does. This leads me to have trouble thinking that I’m playing as a member of Fireteam Crimson because everybody is wearing different colours like we’re a group of Spartan Power Rangers.
Although this isn’t an issue at all, I’d just very much rather the game place everybody into wearing a red primary colour like Maroon instead of everybody wearing different colours. Although I know that everybody wants to wear whatever colours they want in Spartan Ops, I really don’t like how 343 named our Fireteam ‘Crimson’ because Crimson probably refers to the colour of the team.
I feel the same way, red or maroon would have been good colors for Crimson. It would make them feel more like a squad since its there first time on Requiem.

Because of this, I pretend and think that my Spartan is fighting with other members of Fireteam Crimson that wear maroon. I don’t like the one other red colour, it looks like salmon IMO.
> Me and my team do that. We will wear different helmets to distinguish ourselves though.
Of course, wear different helmets.
I’d love to have a team to play Spartan Ops with that all wear Maroon/Brick and Steel/Silver/White, the Legendary visor, and full armor sets that Majestic or Palmer doesn’t use.
I think that would be a good idea, actually. It would make sense, and I think Brick would be best since it’s closer to Crimson than Maroon. I may be slightly biased, though. I like it how it is right now, though, because we can’t see our actual armor colors anywhere besides FFA.
If they did make everyone red, they definitely shouldn’t force you to wear certain armor just to let you have some customization in Spartan Ops.
Yeah, I was really bummed about the fact we don’t see our own colours at all unless it’s in FFA or in the lobbies. IMO we should be able to use our own colours in more playlists, such as Flood.
I appreciate the individuality of each persons armor in Spartan-Ops or when playing FFA playlists. Everyones armor and color combinations add a uniqueness to the match and have their own personality. They even make me feel differently about a piece I may have not liked and it looks cool the way they put it together and well you always have that team feeling when your shooting in the same direction…

I agree with you 100%, but I find that part of this weakens the effect of immersion I looked forward to in Spartan Ops.

I envision The same thing when I play Spartan Ops, I play On Legendary With NO DEATHS. I’m Looking for people that do the same but as Fireteam Crimson.
I play on Easy-Legendary, whatever difficulty. I try not to die, because when I do, it just ruins the feeling of being immersed in the Halo universe during the game.
Exiios - add me if you want, man. I do the same. However, I am on a current video-game ban that will most likely last until Easter. Perhaps think of me as Crimson-5, the inactive/KIA/MIA/former member of Fireteam Crimson?

I have Maroon On grey, I Change Visors, from Legendary To solar, to blindside

I used to try not to die but now I play aggressively. If it gets a mission done faster or lets me rampage through enemies, I’ll take that path.
I think a better solution would be to simply go back in time and suggest to 343 they choose a name for our SOPS fireteam that didn’t presuppose a customization choice. That or just take Crimson with a more figurative meaning. IE. the blood lust that enables our little group to personally murder every single living thing on Requiem. It adds character and justifies a thoroughly insane playstyle (whatever your color choice.)
