Frankly it makes the first half seem prity tame. The new enviroments are quite impressive and give you quite abit of freedom to go about it the way you want, so much some in some areas it even puts the h4 campagin to shame. The added vehicle use on most of the new parts is most welcome, and there are some great encounters and seems like some new music is used to a nice effect.
Over all im prity impressed and it seems 343i have lison to feedback and really nailed spartan ops.
These changes to spartan ops give me some positive thought where 343i will go with halo 5.
Also some of the graphics seems to have a new tint there or somthing, stuff feels more vibrant and looks great, maybe just 343i getting use to there engine more i duno.
As for the cgi , still great stuff the catch up part was actually really nice. The fact this is free i think people really need to be happy about. I couldnt imagine many other games bringing out such a high quality dlc for free like what we have here, and we still have more to come. Bring it on!
btw … wtf is that covenant vehicle , its like some biological version of a scarab tank? can we please please fight that in h5

I’m not, its pretty clear that the First Season, along with its 10 episodes containing 50 missions each was going to be included with the price of the game just like multiplayer. I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged for season 2. I enjoyed the first half of season 1 and the I’m sure enough going to enjoy the second half of season 1 by the looks of it. I’d gladly pay for another season.

My friend and I who are long-term Halo fans were playing the mission today, and as soon as we were done we sent each other a message with the exact same idea. “WTF is a harvester?” Well, hopefully we find out more about it. For all I know we’re just stopping the covenant from harvesting corn.
“harvesting corn” lol yeh it is strange what that is, it mus tbe somthing to do with mining. From what i remember scarabs were made for that exact thing, seing its been awhle since halo 2 where we first saw a mining scarab i guess they come along way in tech? Still please let us fight that thing in halo 5.
anyway back to spartan ops, nothing is wrong with them charging for series 2 we got the first one with h4, and its obvious they are trying with the 2nd half, it seems they are trying alot harder as well, so the only reason they would do that on a buisinness point of view is to get people invested and have them enjoy it enough to want to buy series 3 , 4 , 5 ect until halo 5 is launched.
Id pay for it if all the missions were new locations and it played anything like this 2nd half plays. 343i seems to have taken feedback to make things better, lets hope they keep improving.

Also, I thought they were on an excavation mission, for that you need stuff that drills, I thought the ships and Scarabs were used for that.
Isn’t a Harvester supposed to, you know, “harvest”?
It’s pretty much also the first “vehicle” that doesn’t have an animal or spectral name.

When I went to download them, it told me I didn’t have enough MSP to get it.
Just re-checked it and now it’s letting me get it. I was mad because I thought I had to pay… maybe I just tried too early to download them. I am not sure.

The Chopper and the Prowler didn’t either, but I was kinda hoping for a ghosty knd of name. Harvester sounds pretty ominous though.
