Why do people that play so much spartan ops get so much experience? That’s unfair to the rest of the true halo players who actually play online matchmaking? Quit giving so much exp. for spartan ops. Or don’t give any at all.

Spartan Ops are real engagements against the Covenant/Prometheans
Seems fair to me that the training runs give less XP.
The payout for Spartan Ops is really low in comparison.
The missions are quite long and unlike Halo Reach there’s no XP for the individual actions (like kills, medals etc.). Even factoring in the challenges and commendations it’s low.
If you want to level up quickly, it’s going to be much faster to just play regular matchmaking, even if you don’t do well.
Its not up to you on how or what is paid out. Get a job with 343i of you want to making decisions that affect all of us. True Halo fans? Because I dont want to play MP, I should suffer, get lost!
Personally I think its there to make people keep playing spartan ops…if it gave less to no XP then no one would play it naturally.
Plus the ‘True Halo players’ will be better than these spartan ops players since they actually play matchmaking and know the maps etc.
Just because people don’t want to play VS matchmaking doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to XP.
Yea I’ve noticed that also, I played a sr77 the other day and he only had about 2000 kils in war games. He was 20 ranks ahead of me and I had more kills than he did? Then I forgot that spartan ops gives you like around 6,000 points sometimes. People just get on there to get their rank up.

I loved ODST Firefight. I love fighting of waves of enemies. I love story.
Spartan Ops gives me all 3 with Objectives too. So, I LOVE Spartan Ops. That’s why I play the Yoink! out of it. Especially with the “Shootout In Valhalla” mission. It brings back what Firefight did so good, but better, and it blows Reach Firefight out of the water.
So… I play Spartan Ops because I love it. The extra XP is just a really nice bonus. So I’m not complaining.
Doesn’t mean I don’t play Matchmaking either. I looked on Waypoint, and I’ve played twice as many games in Matchmaking than I have Spartan Ops.
And besides, like the SR means anything.
This might be an issue if the xp system was actually competitive…
I can get a good 11,900 per 8 minutes playing spartan ops.
You can gain 1500+ XP in a game of SWAT that lasts maybe 5-10 minutes, whereas you get 2300+ (at Level 21) in a SpOp that takes 15-20.

Yes, quit giving exp to SpOps and what will happend? Noone will play it any more once they got the achievements. the exp is the only thing that pushes players to play it at least some time

Idk what missions you’re playing but I get 6k every 10 mins from spartan ops.

The amount of XP you earn is relative to your level. When I first started (Lv. 1), I was getting maybe 1200XP, but now I’m over 2300 (Lv. 21).
It seems like there’s a limit on the points you can get in Spartan Ops, no matter how well you did. The limit seems to be just under 6000 points.

Thats interesting. It seems like ive been getting 6k every game for as long as I can remember but if it really does scale with level then its nice knowing that the exp will always be good.
