I need some help, i don’t know whats wrong, i’ve cleared the cache, installed it, deleted it and re-installed several times from the dashboard and in-game menu still no change, i’ve even deleted crimson map pack to see if it worked, so far nothing has worked and all i can do with Episode 6 is watch the video, anybody got any solutions to this problem?
No idea man, I’m having the same issue, 3rd time downloading it now, cleared cache, nothing has been working. Been trying to find a solution all morning. From what I’ve heard other people throughout the community are having some problems with Episode 6 as well.
hopefully they bring out an update or something that allows it to work, because this is ridiculous -.-
Well, right now I’m trying several different solutions people have given me. One guy on 343 industries forums said he deleted crimson map pack from when everyone could download it for free and it worked for him, so I’m trying it that way right now, but it didn’t work for everyone on the forum. Another person told me that if I have the slim Xbox 360 (Which I do), I should turn on the background downloads, shut down my Xbox, wait a couple of hours, and then see if it works then. Hope this helps you.
I was able to download it but when I play there is no sound coming from the Palmer transmissions or in some cases no sound at all. And when I’m in the coop lobby and the game is starting it always drops me back to the main lobby.
Well I Got it to work by deleting the old crimson map pack, then I cleared the xbox cache then redownloaded the spartan ops 1.5 from your download history. Works for me so give it a try if you have the old crimson map pack on your hard drive.

Tried it, didn’t work for me. Deleted crimson map pack, cleared cache, and was doing a background download on my Xbox 360 slim while it was off and still can’t play the new Episode unfortunately. I can watch the Episode and access the mission information, but it won’t let me press play, change the difficulty, or anything else really.
Defective download. Dont do background downloads, and do the download from the dashboard ONLY. In-game downloading is known to be problomatic at times for slow or corrupt downloaded data on xbox live as a whole. As is background downloading.

Well, got up this morning and tried again. Didn’t do any background downloads, didn’t go into the game to download, just sat at dashboard and waited. Still doesn’t work, still can’t find a solution. I don’t know if it’s me or what but still can’t play new spartan Ops.
I was having problems with it but on my 3rd try, after deleting the crimson map pack, clearing the cache and downloading from the dashboard and just waiting for it download, I finally got it working.
I downloaded it from the in game store and had the glitched free download crimson map pack AND used background downloads to download it and it downloaded absolutely fine. I don’t get why so many people have had problems with this

Just figured out my whole problem… corrupted profile. Shut the Xbox down and rebooted it, cleared cache and deleted the account, downloaded War-games, Spartan Ops season 1 and Spartan Ops season 1.5 on a spare 16gb flash-drive I had, put my account on there and the update they had for Halo 4, everything works fine now. I can finally play the new episode.
i figured it out, it was a corrupted file, but it only meant deleting something the dlc didn’t like, i deleted some game unlock that as useless, moved all my game saves, moved them back and it worked, if anybody else is still having this problem it is something to do with a file in the halo game storage area, save your game saves and delete the files, then try it, it worked for me.
Glad you figured it out man, New episode is pretty nice. Still kind of repetitive after you play it the 1st time, but a big improvement for Spartan Ops as a whole I’d say.
I have the same problem and have deleted it and reinstalled it to the hard drive at least 3 times, and after that 2hour download the same load failure would happen… its pretty annoying but i cant fix the problem and have tried everything, i wish 343i would help.

Games Panel>Browse Games>SpOps Episodes 6-10 panel. I believe you can also do it from the game details in the main panel when its in the drive.
