Spartan Ops Episode 6 Cinematic

Did anybody really like this episode? To me, the entire thing looked like they just “willed” things to happen, you know? Sort of like, things happened because of “plot”. I’m not trying to intentionally hate for the purpose of hating, but this episode I did not like. Also, half of it is a recap of the previous episodes.

What did you guys think of it?

Imo? Kinda lame. Was expecting some kind of opening cinematic with Palmer going on about Crimson MIA. Instead we got a video about ONE spartan. And the covie killing most of his own is a lolwut? moment. Thats the best they could come up with storywise?

The whole thing feels contrived. But still, it does look pretty.

I feel the same. It does look pretty

Spartan Ops hater clearly. Also I have spoilers in this and don’t know how to hide them. I loved it the first thing you do is watch (or do) it assaisinate (ignore spelling) an elite. Then you hijack a Phantom and sneek into a Covenant base and steal a bunch of info. Afer that you kill some sleeping grunts and if you wanted have a cruiser betray it’s men. Steal a gravity hammer and banshees. Kill a bunch of knights then go to Vortex. Attack and find some stolen gear that you scan. Go to the Harvester (I wish it was Flood related). And kill it. Wants to hate about it

I’m talking about the cinematic… -Yoink!-

So what if he is? After the initial excitement wore off, I wasn’t too impressed.

Put the words inbetween those. Make two brakets [/] and put spoiler in each one.

I also think he was talking more about the cutscene story anyway, it was sort of a letdown.

I like it.

Unlike many, I can see actual character development here, for Gek, Thorne and Glassman, and Jul as well.

Gek, for example, will be a recurring character. He’s obviously been dishonored, and now he’ll try to regain it. Jul will be not just mad, he’ll be extremely frustrated. The Librarian AI was housed in the same place the Chief received his evolution, but Jul is so blinded by faith he will be vengeful against Glassman.

As for Thorne and Majestic. they’ll be faced with quite some things, but commended with others. Thorne, being a ‘newb’ Spartan, probably had his own pride wounded.

This is a good thing - Character Development. This episode doesn’t show it, but it paves way for so many things to happen to both the characters and what they will do.

Didn’t read the thread title properly, clearly.

The threads about the cinematic cut-scene. Not the SpOps mission content.

The recap felt pointless. I mean all the other cutscenes are right there next to it…

The rest was alright, actually got to see some character development as said above, already want to know more about Gek.

I felt that a lot of it was “suspension beyond belief”; especially the scene where the scientist escapes. That just looked like blatantly impractical. Also, the explosion at the end was unnecessarily huge. I understand character development, but at what cost? What cost!?!

I can’t stand it that the Spartan IVs are so ‘powerful’. We learned in the past that an Elite is one of the best warriors, one single Elite can take out a platoon of marines and even take on a Spartan II. But in Spartan Ops they potray them as some dumb humanoid lizards. And Promethean Knights are supposed to be even stronger, but Spartan IVs just destroy them. It’s very noticable in the second cinematic. One of Majestic squad gets shot and the other one with the shotgun just runs into all of them (whut?) and then it skips to the Infinity again and they are all fine…
