Spartan Ops Episode 5 Question

I am going through all of the Spartan Ops missions on Normal and only finishing them if I don’t die.

I am at Episode 5: Chapter 1 - Spartan Miller. I have done this mission like five times now and it seems like it never ends. After you save the scientist’s equipment from being destroyed a waypoint comes up. Can I just immediately run to that without killing any enemies? I haven’t tried that yet and I’m tired of doing this mission. On every other mission you have to kill every enemy to win. I assumed it was the same for this.

If I go to the waypoint will the Promothean enemies stop spawning?

Yes they do stop spawning afte ryou activate the device. A group does spawn in just kill then and eventully you will finsh. I get around150-160 kills in that chapter. Side note best chapter for Promethean commendations so you are getting work done
