Insta-spawning enemies (not from drop pods or Phantoms), usually directly behind you. I am getting especially tired of this trick, particularly with the Promethian enemies.
Throwing tanks at you without giving you the proper equipment to fight them solo
Re-using the same maps over and over and over
Oddly enough, Eps. 1 & 2 don’t seem to have any of these problems; and you know what? Just about all the missions were fun. I can only hope things change up a little with Season 2.
And before anyone says “Oh, but SpOps are meant to be played with a group!”, yes that’s true; but they should be playable solo without too much frustration. It just seems like 343 is doing cheap things for the sake of “challenge”.
But at least the story is getting interesting. I was feeling pretty pissy about it all, but then my Autosentry yoinked an assassination from me. Made me smile.
Episode 1 and Episode 2 were extremely boring. Episode 3 and now Episode 4 are extremely fun and entertaining. Fighting massive waves of enemies is where Spartan Ops is going and is definitely where it should stay.
As for instant spawning enemies, I’ve never had this problem. Also, for the tanks being thrown at you, I just use a DMR and a Plasma Pistol taken from one of the countless Grunt bodies at my feet. Not that difficult really.

Seconded.
Also, the Promethan enemies are supposed to seem like they spawn randomly. I mean think about it, if you could teleport, would you want to pop up right in front of the enemy, or try to show up behind them?
