Spartan Ops Episode 3 "Catherine" trailer

Anyone guessing it’s might be the Liberian (Memories) that was studying her?

Good looks

Looking awesome. Always great seeing more Halsey!

> Good looks

It does look good considering they are bringing in some good characters into the mix now.

6 months after MC saved human AGAIN Halsey is still a prisoner?
What up with that? What does 117 think about this? These are the answers we need.

I thought Spartan ops will just be a collection of mini mission’s but it’s starting to actually become something important to the storyline.

He probably doesn’t know or is in no position to do anything about it.

Interesting! She seems scary.

I REALLY hope this ends up giving hints to halo 5!

Please… Please let it have new maps and not these recycled ones.

Imprisoned for a reason? If it wasn’t for her you wouldn’t be wearing that fancy armor Commander.

Nor would humanity be alive.

Her reason for imprisonment I believe is a morally and ethically grey area. She made an AI from cloned tissue, which I believe is against some law somewhere that I’m not nerdy/passionate enough about to go find, and several decades before she led a project that abducted children, cloned them, and had the clones programmed in some way (forget how) to die not long after. Those last two things is a question of ethics, and simply abducting innocent people, kids no less, is flat out illegal. I don’t know if the details of what has happened has been released to the public in the game world but if it somehow did she would be the easiest scapegoat.

Okay, slight nerd rant over.

I couldn’t agree more. So she kidnapped a few children and technically stole an ONI assest, so what? Her SPARTANS saved Humanity, someone give her a medal. Of course I know kidnapping isn’t legal in any way, shape or form.

That aside, Spartan Ops is definately becoming more interesting than I thought it would be. Here’s hoping for more interesting plots as it continues…and maybe a few cameos from our favourites like the MC, some of the other S-IIs and hopefully others like the Arbiter…

The cinematic have been excellent,.

If you pay attention to the very last second you see a Forerunner symbol appear. Who’s is it? It surely isn’t the Didact’s or the Librarian’s.

Sad to see so many people defend ONI and UNSC when they don’t even realize that if it weren’t for Hasley, Humanity would not exist.

I don’t recall being AIs being made from cloned tissue illegal, but what cloning herself was definitely illegal.

I’m going to reinforce this actually.
No, the clones weren’t programmed to die in some way. They just weren’t able to make healthy clones. They intentionally created fatally ill clones to replace the children they kidnapped.
Halsey did some great evils for the benefit of mankind. So obviously it’s a huge grey area as to how she should be treated. Because I don’t think they can necessarily herald her as a hero, after killing children to breed supersoldiers for civil wars (Remember, she was doing this BEFORE the covenant invasion).
But, she’s also a genius who saved mankind and made some of the greatest advancements in medical science in the Halo universe. So they can’t really toss her behind bars either. Any focus on Halsey is great for SO, because she’s a very interesting character to follow. This has me looking forward to the next episode, and the more to come.

For some reason I immediately thought of Offensive Bias, seeing as how his ‘brother’ was somewhat featured in Halo 3 and I don’t recall it ever being said what happened to it, but obviously that’s just a stupid idea. Could be another Forerunner’s ‘memories’ like the Librarian left hers or an Ancilla left by her to maintain Requiem.
