-Requiem along with Infinity are on a crash course with the sun
-Majestic and Crimson are sent to deactivate the 2 other artifacts to allow Infinity to move so they can escape.
-Jul and the rest of the Covenant remnant leave Requiem
-Majestic and Crimson are successful in deactivating the two artifacts and manage to escape and make it aboard Infinity.
-Infinity manages to get away just before Requiem is thrown into the sun
-Palmer criticizes Lasky for sending in Majestic to save Halsey
-Lasky, Palmer, and Glassman examine half of the Janus key
-Jul ended up saving Halsey, but Halsey no longer has an arm as a result
-Halsey now wants revenge on the UNSC because they tried to have her executed and is going to help Jul with the other half of the Janus key.
I don’t know what to think, I’m a little underwhelmed and I think Halsey switching sides seems like a bit of a stretch, i’m not liking the way its going so far.

Other than the fact the government jailed her for a project they came to her for and supported. Then they pushed that further with treating her like some crazed convict, AND THEN of all things didn’t tell her john was alive like she was never going to find out. AND THEN they tried to exterminate a civilian.
I am glad 343I actually went all the way with this because i seriously would have lost all respect for halsey if she didn’t woman up. Now both her and Jul want revenge and with halsey allowed to work freely man this is going to be nice.

I don’t know, I get where you’re comming from but I don’t feel it, just my feelings and opinion though.
Maybe now we won’t be hearing Precursors in every thread, thank god.
But I agree with Wazooty, simply stupid.
I came into this Episode hoping for something significant to happen, but now all I have is a Karen Traviss inspired Doctor Halsey with 1 arm bent on getting revenge against the UNSC.
What sort of story is this -Yoink-? They’d better make a season 2 to wrap up this joke and get on with something decent in H5.

This. We’ve been going against the covenant for 10 years now. All 343 has set up is another war between covies and humans. They’re friggin scared to actually do anything new and fun. What the hell are they thinking? All we got is the prometheans which are the most boring, goofiest, unsatisfying enemies in any fps to date.

Exactly my thoughts on the situation. She’s been treated like the lowest dirt for saving humanity. I’m not suprised she’s gone rogue and glad she did.
And to the guy saying 343 is scared to do anything… Obviously not considering Halsey is leaving the UNSC. What do you want her to do? Look how’s she’s treated by everyone even after most of those people supported her project.
What side do you want her to go on? Promethean knights? No.
Allow me to be the first to say I loved this episode!
The missions were entertaining start to finish. And my best moments were assassinating 3 Elite Generals in a row, swording away to safety in the final mission and punching a Ghost straight into the belly of the Lich.
I think it’s clear that a Second season will focus on the Janus Key- it makes sense to wrap it up before returning to a major plot in Halo 5.
And as for Halsey’s motives? I find them most interesting, not stupid. As far as she knows the entire UNSC is after her. And she knows Jul’s hatred toward mankind can be put to use. I’d say if anything- she’ll be using Jul and the Covenant to take out Osman at the top- allowing her a chance at returning to Human civilisation. How this can play out with Crimson, Infinity and even the Master Chief caught between can make for some awesome storytelling.
Yeah, the Prometheans were an absolute joke. What is there, 7 different types of Prometheans not including watchers, and they share 2 common basic designs but with a bit more hard light on a few.
By the looks of things Jul decided on not taking any Prometheans with him. So we are back to square one the same as we were 10 years ago. But this time it’s a weakened Covenant VS a Post-war UNSC.
What’s the reasoning behind the conflict that’s going to take place? Juls’ family got killed by the UNSC, and Halsey got shot after an order from ONI. Hey everyone, let’s make a new Halo trilogy based on revenge!
The following is based on current info and my best guess as to the trilogy, obviously a season 2 of Spops will change it, hopefully…
Halo 5: Halsey and/or Jul will be killed.
Halo 6: Halsey and/or Jul will be the last enemy throughout the game and eventually John takes them down, recovers the key and completes the “Reclaimer trilogy” by giving humanity the locations of all that is theirs to reclaim.
Think i’ll be happily waiting for a youtube collection of the cutscenes instead of wasting my money if that’s the case, and i’m someone who until now would have bought a halo game simply because its part of the Halo franchise

This. I loved how the levels were way bigger than I expected, and that clever door on Apex that I thought was a wall!
The gameplay was fun, it reminded me a lot of Halo 2 with the ghosts and the warthogs, a mix between Delta Halo and Uprising vibe, and (somehow) a Quarantine Zone nostalgia rush from the second mission with the wraiths However I expected more from the cutscene.

Sorry for having my opinion. I just can’t accept this is the way Halo is going, and as i stated, season 2 will hopefully change that. It’s a dumbed down blunt idea as to what could happen from here, so get over yourself champ

There are More Shield World out there… Maybe even some with the Flood on them like the one in Halo Wars

There probably is, but even if you add the flood to H5/6, it would be Humans VS Covies VS Flood once again. The covenant threat needs to be dealt with in season 2 so that story arc can be wrapped up.
And in regards to the shield worlds, I also agree in the sense that 343i probably wouldn’t go to the trouble of introducing such a revered race as the Forerunners in Halo 4 to simply have them appear in that game and not 5/6, so i’m hopeful the Janus key/ Storm faction story arc will be wrapped up in season 2, and for all we know maybe a season 3, before Halo 5. That way the path is clear to proceed with a far more engaging story than simple revenge.
I’m also disappointed with the way this is going. Lacks creativity imo. Up until now I bought all the Halo games and novels with no doubt in my mind. I will still buy Silentium and the 3rd Kilo 5 book, but 343 will have to pull off something big for me to continue to be an avid fan of the Halo universe.
However I expected more from the cutscene.
