Spartan Ops = Epic

So, I’m not a big fan of the name Spartan Ops, because it sounds too much like Spec Ops to me, but considering it IS Spartan Operations… the name makes sense.
I read the Halo 4 Gameinformer yesterday, and Spartan Ops sounds like it’s going to be AMAZING!!

They’re making it like a tv show, where every week there’s a new CG video and new missions to continue the story. It Seriously seems like it’s going to be Amazingful. =D

I’m SO pumped to play this game. =)

YEAHH

Agrees

Imagine the story possibilities with Spartan Ops:
-Search for Forerunner treasures
-Attacking a rebel base inside an asteroid field
-Push back Kig Yar pirates who try to raid a UNSC outpost
-Discovering a new Halo ring
-Meeting new sentient aliens across the galaxy
-Fighting the Brutes, destroying their assets like shipyards
-Diplomacy mission to Sanghelios, fighting against Jul kind of idiots

And many many more kind of typical behind the enemy lines missions.
Grey team fans will be pleased with this.
The possibilities are endless.

Sucks for COD as they are stuck on a single boring planet while we got an entire universe out there.

Thanks 343 industries for this new gamemode.
Halo 4 is gonna rock!!

Yes, it does sound great. I hope it will last for a few months. And maybe they could add new stories with new DLC making it last even longer!

Agreed

Yesssss!! All those ideas sound amazing, It’s gonna be Great!! =D
and yeah, CoD needs a future future game where they can fight on the moon or something. xD

Gameinformer said it’ll last “several” months. Which is Awesome. =)
and it wouldn’t surprise me if they made like a “season 2” kind of thing the next year or something where everything continued or something. That’d be Great! =)

Sure it will. After reading all that awesome stuff about Campaign and Spartan Ops it makes me wanna play Halo 4 now. Sadly, I can’t. But I’d throw away my whole social life for Halo 4. And I will do that once the game is out. For a few days at least…

In terms of the overall GameType I’m really excited for it. I really enjoy co-op gameplay and definitely looking forward to more fiction on top of the Campaign of course.

My only fear is the amount of content we are getting. Don’t get me wrong, a couple of missions every week for free is amazing. I just hope it is up to standards, and I mean Halo fiction standards.

What I mean by this is they state how Multiplayer, Infinity and the Story is going to combine in great depth to form a whole new definition of the Multiplayer experience. I don’t want to be given large and repetitive amounts of 'Eliminate this target(s), Defend this location, Escape etc. with all but a different location behind it. I would like to see direct references to the fiction that we already know so what we are playing actually means something. In other games you are dropped in these co-op situations with a very simple and bland reason or plot.

I do not doubt 343i, they have been working on this game for a long time and probably have all the missions planned and in progress of completion already. I just hope that they don’t turn this co-op into every other similar mode out there. Halo has tonnes of fiction to use, they say it will not replace Campaign which is good, but it still needs to hold the depth and intriguing pull with it’s story.

Yeah me too!! I’m going to have absolutely NO life for a Long time after it’s released. haha =D

But is there any replay value? How many times would you really want to do the same mission that never changes, just like the campaign? It would get boring and repetitive after like 3 times if nothing ever changed.

Yeah that’s a Very good point. I think 343’ll make it reach our expectations and more personally. I do hope it’s not the same repetitive stuff as in other games, but I doubt it will be, and I think the story’s going to be really cool. =)

For me Halo single player never gets boreing. one time i played through Halo 3 4 times in one day, and never got bored.

Spartan ops can flesh out the universe even more which is a good thing, always wanted a halo game with more story based dlc rather than just multiplayer maps so i’m very much excited for this. As for the name not the biggest fan of it thought they should of gone with something with oni in it.

The highlighted mission would be fun. Maybe… Would be like RPG. Choose talk options

The Spartan Ops sounds great. I am definitely looking forward to Halo 4. I will however dearly miss Firefight. But hey I am open to what Spartan Ops will be like.

My question is this. Since there is Spartan Ops co op, will the CAMPAIGN be co op? I have not seen anything that says there is or is not Co Op campaign. I hope that is just assumed the campaign will be co op.

The names fine. Spartan Operations, makes sense. Sorry you’re too hung up on other franchises.

Agreed, it’s a completely brilliant idea and looks amazing.
