I just finished mission 3 of episode 2 (solo legendary), and when the evac came to rescue me i jet-packed up (as i always do to stand on the evac Pelican), and it said press RB to pilot.
I pressed RB and I manned some sort of topside cannon!!!

I think this will be a future component of spartan ops. Where there is the pilot and three manned cannons. (so 4 players)

This would allow for some SICK missions. It would most likely use the campaign level where u get to fly the ship, where u have to go to the towers.
(because every spartan ops uses campaign levels.
I would assume you would verse several other flying aircraft and perhaps land at a few towers and clear them out.
Go into the mission and check it out!!!

its something thats in the single player, when you fly the pelican any co-op partners can jump in the side guns or the top turret, id like to think its an easter egg, but its probably sloppy coding and its just carried over from singleplayer, they probably didnt think people would be trying to jump on the peli and get in lol
No its possible for everyone even on 4 player. I personally think they just took the campaign pelican and stuck it in spartan ops without bothering to change anything about it.
If you play the campaign multi-player when you get to the pelican assualt on the forrunner tower its possible for all four people in the party to mount up on the pelican.
It has two side turrents, a top mount turrent, and a pilots seat with all four stations having something to shoot.
If it becomes available to use in SparOps I’ll worry about it, as far as MM goes I don’t really care if they start all the players in a match in a tank.
