Spartan Ops Double XP Question

So I’m going to the Waypoint Summer Carnage Weekend Game Night, and I am going to receive these Double XP tokens today as well. The problem I have is that I have no clue if these tokens have to be counted in Custom Games matches, or if I get to choose which matches I want to get Double XP on. I don’t want to have to use all of my Double XP on Custom Games, because I had intended to use them in Spartan Ops. I do not think I will have enough time to use all ten of these tokens before the game night, and I do not want to waste them. Can anyone help me with this?

Since it isn’t very clear what I was asking, I was simply wondering this: will I be able to choose the matches that get double XP, or does it have to be on the first ten matches I play after the tokens?

If anyone has any experience from the Mtn. Dew XP, then that would be appreciated. Thanks!
