i heard that there will be a buyable spartan ops dlc that will let you play the missions offline and offline only. is this true because that would be better than having to download and buy gold membership in my opnion.

Well, you’d have to wait a few months, until they actually make the missions. I doubt this’ll ever happen.
This would mean that you would have to play it on your own, and Spartan Ops is optimized to be played with 3 other people. I can’t imagine 343i taking a gander with it.
You wouldn’t need to buy gold. Just have Xbox live

If yes, then it is evident that you do have an internet connection and in turn access to Xbox Live. So if I were you, I would get out there and off your lazy -Yoink- and do some chores and earn some money and then you will be able to buy Gold Membership again with your hard-earned cash instead of waiting for your birthday in the hopes that your parents get it for you. If you are planning to buy Halo 4, then surely you are planning to get Xbox Live Gold Membership too?

For what? LIVE memberships are extremely cheap for the services they provide. Even the 3 month memberships are worth it.
